What's a Snow Plough BC....probably known more in the North of England and of course in Scotland.

One of my National Service mates...1960/62...a Scot called Jimmy believe it or not...lived in Huntly which is north of Aberdeen....and he worked after demob for Scottish Electric (not sure what they called them back then)....and he said that he had to have snow chains in his van for at least 6 months of the year just in case they got caught out up in the Highlands....but for you BC that's quite laughable I would think.

We measure snow in inches (well I do)....you probably measure it in feet.....I remember you told us that you have summer and winter tyres (that's tires to you).....not something I ever contemplated in NW Kent.....we're rather pampered regarding extremes of weather.

The only extremes of weather I've ever experienced was in Aden when we had a sand storm....the temperature would jump from 90/100F...to 120/130F and the only air-conditioning we had out there was in our living quarters....and during a sand storm you had to turn it off because it would block it up....like being in a oven with all windows shut tight.

Plymborn we NEED immigrant workers, both with skills and for low paid jobs that our unemployed don't want. In addition, it's good for British business to able to place skilled UK workers in jobs in the EU, especially in the vital financial services sector.

As someone who once got a call at 2 am to say our UK passported US operations director was in a cell at JFK due to a minor fault in his paperwork, I know who hard it is to get UK citizens into overseas jobs outside the EU. Do you imagine the French being particularly helpful post Brexit? Or even the Germans once they start stripping financial services jobs out of the City and into Frankfurt?

I agree that we need immigrants to boost our work force...especially seasonal....but the government have no idea how to run such a set-up....they haven't really got any idea how many illegal immigrants are roaming the streets of the UK especially in the south east....they just keep bypassing the official system.

Also those UK citizens that went to the middle east to fight for Islamic State and have deserted are managing to get back into this country relatively easy....we were told by this government that they would be on top of that situation and each person would be rigorously check before re-entry would be allowed....there must be at least 100,000 trained fighters mostly muslims of course roaming this country that have been radicalized.... they have slipped back into this country....you only need half a dozen a year to flip and you can see the chaos that can be caused....mosques are certainly not on top of that situation in this country.

That plym is just plucking a figure out of the air and treating it like it is the truth. Bit like figures on the side of a bus during campaigning. I can do that. There must be at least one radicalised muslim in this country who could kill everyone. There you go, you heard it here first. There are hundreds of thousands of white English people working and living in the Muslim world who are going to kill all muslims one day. Ooops! there I did it again. It is just pure bullshit of course but lets not let that stop a good argument.

So it's all been fake news about terrorist attacks in this country over the last few years....you might have trouble convincing grieving families and friends....I know how it effects a family close to us when a work colleague is killed in a terrorist incident whilst doing there job.....he hasn't worked properly because of depression ever since.... even after much counselling.....two years have past now.

That was not 100,000 terrorists roaming our streets though was it. That was a few hard faced individuals who would find a way to do a nasty whether they lived here or not. The same applies to every single country on this planet. What you are doing is branding ALL muslims as the same. It's a bit like the Liam Neison thing at the minute. All black people stab others, sell drugs and rape women. All muslims blow up people and murder them in their beds. It's a ridiculous idea. Not that long ago it was the Irish. Before that it was Welsh Nationalist. Shall we get rid of all of those as well just in case?

There are always going to be those intent on causing mayhem in virtually every country in the world. The only way you can stop that is if you return, and every country does this, all people who are not clearly native to your country and close all borders and keep them closed neither letting people or goods in our out. Oh and whilst at it ban any religious activity only allowing one which everybody has to follow. There you go, the ultimate solution.

Nobody's in favour of illegal and terrorist immigrants but I fail to see how leaving the EU helps us in that.

Firstly as we've been told by the senior police officer in charge of planning for Brexit that it will be more difficult to check criminal records and make arrests abroad,

Secondly, at the moment we have a voice inside the EU to hold other EU countries to account if they let illegals free passage across their territory to get to a neighbouring state. Post Brexit, it's going to be case of off the rubber dinghy at Marseille, TGV to Calais and then short hop on another dinghy across the Channel while the French police look the other way. Unless we're willing to let the poor so-and-so's drown, which we aren't what are we going to do about it then?

The French have made an art out of looking the other way....being in or out of the EU will make no difference.

Checking for criminal records to be honest should not be any harder....it will only be harder because of cussedness on their behalf....they will find that it cuts both ways and them being awkward will mean that they will find it a problem just as much as we will.

Our voice in the EU has been ignored for years...with France and Germany overseeing proceedings to their own benefit.

No not due to cussedness. We fall out of EU policing treaties and fall back on arrangements made in the 1950s.

Boris Johnson said he knew more about car manufacturing than the boss of Jaguar Landrover after the latter warned of the dangers of Brexit. Just saying.

I have been through Calais a number of times over recent years. The Police are present in numbers there and they do intercept obvious illegals. They are at the Tunnel and at the Ferry Port and in lorry parks scattered around. They clear camps etc. To say they turn a blind eye is just a fantasy made up by people who just want to prove some point or other with no facts that can be checked. You know the sort of thing when people come out with 95% of people think...............when there is no poll in existence. The vast majority of foreigners working here and coming here are not illegal immigrants and those that are will still come whether we are in the EU or not. Having voted out you will have achieved nothing to prevent that or your bombers.

Actually found what I was trying to find. Please read below.
    Never got it from me...lol.

What will actually happen if we stay in the EU” is a question no remainer will ever answer but here it is warts and all.
Check it out if you wish ——>>
1: The UK along with all existing members of the EU lose their abstention veto in 2020 as laid down in the Lisbon Treaty when the system changes to that of majority acceptance with no abstentions or veto’s being allowed.
2: All member nations will become states of the new federal nation of the EU by 2022 as clearly laid out in the Lisbon treaty with no exceptions or veto’s.
3: All member states must adopt the Euro by 2022 and any new member state must do so within 2 years of joining the EU as laid down in the Lisbon treaty.
4: The London stock exchange will move to Frankfurt in 2020 and be integrated into the EU stock exchange resulting in a loss of 200,000 plus jobs in the UK because of the relocation. (This has already been pre-agreed and is only on a holding pattern due to the Brexit negotiations, which if Brexit does happen, the move is fully cancelled - but if not and the UK remains a member it’s full steam ahead for the move.)
5: The EU Parliament and ECJ become supreme over all legislative bodies of the UK.
6: The UK will adopt 100% of whatever the EU Parliament and ECJ lays down without any means of abstention or veto, negating the need for the UK to have the Lords or even the Commons as we know it today.
7: The UK will NOT be able to make its own trade deals.
8: The UK will NOT be able to set its own trade tariffs.
9 The UK will NOT be able to set its own trade quotas.
10: The UK loses control of its fishing rights
11: The UK loses control of its oil and gas rights
12: The UK loses control of its borders and enters the Schengen region by 2022 - as clearly laid down in the Lisbon treaty
13: The UK loses control of its planning legislation
14: The UK loses control of its armed forces including its nuclear deterrent
15: The UK loses full control of its taxation policy
16: The UK loses the ability to create its own laws and to implement them
17: The UK loses its standing in the Commonwealths
18: The UK loses control of any provinces or affiliated nations e.g.: Falklands, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar etc
19: The UK loses control of its judicial system
20: The UK loses control of its international policy
21: The UK loses full control of its national policy
22: The UK loses its right to call itself a nation in its own right.
23: The UK loses control of its space exploration program
24: The UK loses control of its Aviation and Sea lane jurisdiction
25: The UK loses its rebate in 2020 as laid down in the Lisbon treaty
26: The UK’s contribution to the EU is set to increase by an average of 1.2bn pa and by 2.3bn pa by 2020
This is the future that the youths of today think we stole from them?
They should be on their knees thanking us for saving them from being turned into Orwellian automatons!

I love the "check it out if you don't believe" thing. Who produced this list of terrible happenings? I suspect if I looked hard enough I could find one that says this is what will happen if we leave. It too would list the end of mankind as we know it. I do not believe it for one minute and I have read lists of doom will happen about subjects before which look good on the outside but turn out to be bollox on the inside. Anyone remember the world computers would crash into oblivion at the turn of the millenium? Everything was or is contained on then from launching missiles to personal finance. The whole universe was going to implode. Well feck me nothing actually happened on the day at all. Some worthy actually did a load of interviews sounding intelligent on the back of that. Tha's one example and I'm sure I could find others.

Honda has announced it will close its Swindon plant in 2022.

The plant employs 3,500 people directly. 90% of production is exported to Europe.

1.....Derek Hatton, a former leading figure in Militant, has been readmitted to the Labour Party, it emerged last night.

Three decades after he was ousted under Neil Kinnock's leadership, Mr Hatton, one of the most divisive political figures in Labours history, is believed to have been readmitted after his case was heard by a three-person panel.

It comes five months after party officials said his past affiliations would not "preclude him from being a member", after he had confirmed he had requested permission to rejoin.

Last night a Labour source did not deny that he had been accepted back into the party. In 1986, as deputy leader of Liverpool council, he was among 47 councillors to be removed and banned from public office over their decision to run an illegal budget in defiance of Margaret Thatcher's government.

He and members of the Trotskyist Militant group were widely blamed for making Labour unelectable, leading Neil Kinnock to wage a Prolonged battle to drive them out of the party.

    Daily Telegraph...19/02/2019.

My thoughts.....One more step into oblivion for Corbyn's idea of a Labour Party.....Theresa May's weak Tory government has been given another life line to continue the downward spiral of politics in this country....it will take more than seven independent (Labour) MP's to start an opposition to the decline.

2.....Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent has become the first large town in Britain to lose all its free cashpoints. Its 24,000 residents now have to choose between paying 95p per withdrawal or driving for miles to take out money.

In just three years the town has lost three banks and its final free cashpoint, a link machine, is now charging.

    Daily Telegraph...19/02/2019.

My thoughts.....How dare you expect free access to YOUR OWN money....just think of all the interest it is earning you if you can't get hold of it.........:headbang:.
