Agree totally, been an avid reader since the mid 60s, learnt about Mr Wheatcrofts acquisition of the historic Donington circuit for the princely sum of £100 K in 71 I remember driving from Devon, where I lived at the time, to Donington a few years later 83 I think and guess what, the gates were open and I drove my company, maroon Granada, with free petrol around the circuit unchallenged a few times, accompanied by my wife and baby daughter. A perfect day eh, those were the days.!!

Oh, and spent the night at the Royal Hotel, Ashby de la Zouch. Now closed. !!!!

    Brexit, don't mention it, ffs.

My Mum and Dad bought me a 1 years subscription a couple of years ago . I have kept it going :)

Can't claim to be an avid reader since the mid 60's .

Born 65, I was 19, bloody good year though, Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Lotus cars, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Supremes. and I rode a Triumph Tiger 100 to London and back home to Devon with no crash helmet.

    Feels like yesterday.

Your Mum and Dad knew what they were doing eh.

Not sure how many of you watch The Grand Tour (I know, I know, I judge myself so you don't need to), but in episode 5 of the new series they have done a brilliant brilliant biopic and tribute to Jim Clark.

I didn't know a great deal about him, but wow. That '65 season. My goodness. And the fact he managed 8 grand slams.

    Really worth a watch.

when you read about Jim Clark you start to understand why some of the older generation consider him, not the greatest F1 driver of alll time, but the greatest racing driver of all time. He drove on the edge like it was a Sunday drive, any car, any surface.

He is coming across as a bit of an arse but a very determined one. Dodgy brm chassis numbers, fraudulently selling cars back to drivers, second hand f1 tyres.... but give him his due for his determination. I didn't realise how much Patrick Head held things together and the massive improvements he gave the car.

Yes, its impossible to classify who is the BEST driver of all time, I have four F1 drivers who I hold in the highest esteem but find it impossible to devise a formula that would enable the greatest to be highlighted. My four are Jim Clarke, Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna, Lewis Hamilton.

Yes, in F1 they will be known as Alfa Romeo Racing with Kimi Raikkonen as the Primary driver having swapped places with Leclerc, interesting to see how that move develops. Goodluck to both.

The Alfa Romeo has "Sauber Engineering" written on the side. They haven't changed the name of the company, just the entry.

Well it looks like Karun Chandhok is working for Sky and previously he did a very similar job to Ted on C4. So I think Ted is out!
