Or rather Joe Mason won't be signing for Derek Adams.... due to better offers from clubs in Leagues 1 and 2.

Actually I notice Adams has said:

“We’ve got good cover in all areas, we are lacking probably one more player to come into the squad.................... We’re looking for somebody just to give us added depth in that area, we’re probably one player short at this moment in time."

That sounds like "Someone who won't get much game time". Perhaps that isn't what Mason wanted to hear.

Nope we offered an Argyle contract and Mason said no is more like it. However, this time I agree with Argyle not pushing the boat out. This is a Striker who has been released by his club and not been "snapped up" by anyone else in the Championship. I'd guess he isn't widely sough after and therefore won't be able to dictate contract details. If somebody wants to take a chance and pay him a shed load more than we were prepared to then so be it. I would have thought it ok if he had come here but am not disappointed terribly he isn't.

I am with you sensible, sadly it strikes me that he is another example of a player that has/had much more talent than his recent career would suggest, no idea what the reason is. We made an offer and he didn't want to take it, move on, not at all bothered and (barring injuries) I think he would have struggled to get many starts, at least this season.

Looking at the team from afar i think Mr Adams has put together the best team he can within budget.
Plus his bench strength looks good,
At least thats the way i see it.
I did predict 0-0 for the Sat. game but that was just for the fun of all zero's 2 nil to the Greens

Derby County, 7th in the Championship, have signed defender Efe Ambrose, who PAFC were linked with.

You can't fault the club for ambition.... or at least the rumour mongering that goes on around it.

We had a trialist playing in the Central League derby against Exeter yesterday (1-0 win)....he was Paul Anderson a 30 year old, 5ft 9in, winger.

Released in January to become a free agent from Mansfield....previous clubs, started at Liverpool then Swansea, N Forest, Bristol C, Ipswich, Bradford, Northampton and Mansfield. He has played over 300 games and has scored 32 goals.

PAFC announce a new director in Paul Berne, operations director at Ginsters, he is already a director for the Argyle Community Trust and an Argyle supporter since moving down this way three years back to work for Ginsters.

The outside world knows no better....Ginsters are mass produced "things" that pass as pasties and make a large profit for the company.....and pass on some of their profit to PAFC....so some good at the end of the day.

Londoners think pasties are something with sausage meat in them, northerners put peas in pastry and other such stuff. They also think that a ginsters is a pasty. On the other hand we as you know helped to invent real pasties and therefore are not fooled by the title.

I know trying new things is all part of living but trust me BC you DO NOT WANT TO TRY A GINSTERS. Sorry didn't mean to shout but it is the equivalent of "WATCH OUT". If you want to live longer then please heed the health warning. If I were you I'd make the wife try one first,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
