It was set in 1971 by that nice Mr Heath. It was 25p then and is 25p now. Per inflation that means you will be £400 Per anum worse off..................

I've just read that Derek Adams is banning the Herald and Plymouth Live from interviews with him with the exception of the ones he has to cover which is post match. The story says he is responding to critical articles about him and stories about a couple of players that he clearly didn't like.

If this is correct and of course I have no way of knowing if it is the true or full story then I think Adams is totally out of order and wrong. Anyone in a position like his that just throws his toys out of the pram because he doesn't like something is being childish and they should grow up and grow a pair. If this is true then wind your neck in Adams and get on with promoting the club which you are paid to do. Leave your gripes at home where they belong.

Well it's a sh*t newspaper and an even worse website so I have little sympathy.

Personally, I can't bear to open the Herald website due the the rash of pop ups and its intrusive privacy policy. If that's the way they go about their business, good riddance.

Read the Club website. It's basically the same stuff that the Herald regurgitates without them infiltrating your computer.

"Local club" (tongue in cheek)....Yeovil have sacked Darren Way and put Neale Marmon in charge for the rest of the season.

At present they are third from bottom on 36pts.....below them are Macclesfield on 34pts and Notts County on 33pts......Macclesfield have a game in hand over the other two.....Notts County one of the oldest clubs could slip out of the league.

Yeovil's dire position has led to them putting their Womens team into administration, they were bottom of the league already.

Try using an Ad blocker notdistant and then all the pop ups don't pop up. Sorry but he should be big enough to not let a bit of criticism upset him so much he refuses to talk to the neighbours. Bleddy childish but have to say I'm not surprised because it is typical of Adams' personality it would seem. I have said previously that he blames everyone else but himself for whatever goes wrong and god help anyone who tries to blame him. Even the local rag it seems who on occasions quote the disquiet of the supporters or at least some of them. Tactics at the end of the match versus Bristol Rovers was pants. He did it so why shouldn't he shoulder the blame? Me thinks Adams will never fully endear himself to the locals no matter how much success he might achieve.

2019/20 seasons ticket prices are announced....how do you season ticket holders see the cost for your seat next year.....and how will the club smoothly transfer fans to their new Grandstand seating when it becomes available ?

Because the Flexi 6 is mentioned in the blurb, the Flexi 8 isn't.

I've just been reading the prices stuff and a thread on pasoti to see what people are generally saying.

A number of people are not happy with any increase at all given that Argyle have basically only played for half a season again. We haven't achieved anything, not even survival yet, and they go with an above inflation increase in ticket prices. There are a number of people already stating they are unlikely to renew this time. There are two parts to this for me. Firstly they are quite right in that the football on offer once more has been less than attractive. Despite this the crowds have held up and people have been loyal. The reward for this is to charge them more. Not very good in my book and for a lot of people in this part of the world nearly £400 for football is a lot of money. The football does not warrant this increase. The second part is that it doesn't make a lot of difference to me personally. I can afford to go and Saturday afternoon is my escape as I've said a lot of times before. However if I turned the clock back to having a young family and working for a living then I would have to think twice and probably would not buy a season ticket or maybe even go at all.

I'm sure there will be a lot of defence of Argyle for this. New grandstand and all that. However, in general I think this is not a good deal and Argyle are out of order once more. The public saved this club and they are still being screwed.

Yes, i probably won't renew as the cost of air travel from Vancouver is going up as well..
I'm just joking of course , but i can see why many won't be back as season ticket holders.
The few friends that i have there are not too sure, but like you said Mr.S Saturdays are for football what ever the cost.
I know i would be there.

I doubt if you will find any link in the small print saying that paying the going rate would be linked to how well the team is playing or not playing.

Of course you could blame Brexit for increasing prices....I for one would put the blame at the feet of Theresa May for spending nearly three years destroying this country and not supporting the 17.4 million who voted to leave the EU.....and now she's getting into bed with a Marxist who would destroy our armed forces and nuclear deterrent and lock us into the EU systems without having a vote in how it's run....now that is a reason for us to ask for are money back....and that is just a shade more than £400......two remainers talking about leaving.....you couldn't get a newly written book accepted by a printer for such a story....they would tell you to go away and making it a little more realistic.

And the 29.1m who didn't vote for Brexit Plymborn? What about them?

I'm not quite sure how fans argue for more to be spent on the team and then complain when ticket prices go up. Where's the Magic Money Tree that's going to achieve the first without the second?

I agree an increase above inflation ought to be justified, but then again football inflation isn't necessarily the same as general inflation. I suspect players' wages are going up by a bit more than 1.8% pa as the profligacy in the Premier League and the Championship cascades down to the lower leagues.

Funnily enough I don't blame MPs of any description for the price of my season ticket. To even link it is bizaar.

My point is that if the thing on offer is worth it then a rise is justified. When it isn't, and lets face it a lot of what we are served up out there isn't, then to foist a rise on the paying public is just wrong. I don't shout too loud about them pushing the boat out. Just a bit might be nice though. Argyle have one of the most expensive season tickets in league one and they may not still be in that league next term. If you went into a restaurant and were only ever given half a meal then you would stop going wouldn't you. To be given half a season each time and then be expected to pay more for it is not on. Like I said I would still go and I can afford it but that doesn't make it right or my opinion of it any better.
