This is a difficult one to call. Charlton have been doing pretty well of late but, and this is the question mark, they coul be about to lose their current Manager to QPR and this could upset everyone within the camp. He is by all accounts a popular Manager both with the players and the fan base. A big question mark over his loyalty to the club and squad may easily upset the apple cart.

As for the football bit of this, we haven't been tearing up trees lately but we haven't been beaten. Can we win this one? I think we can but I also think we have to be right on our game and take advantage of any upset their may be in their ranks. We are good enough to beat them on our day. I've been a bit pro Argyle over the last few posts for Match day threads and said we "would" win then only to be thwarted at the 11th hour and we f****** drop points. Well this time I'm going to hedge my bets and say of course we will bleddy win.

Charlton personally are a bigger club than QPR....far more potential and a bigger ground....and remember they have spent a few years at loggerheads with their owner and that has held them back....their manager would be mad to leave.

Like Sensible said it's winnable or lets hope so as need them points dearly. Will have to be at our best but not sure if Macey is the correct choice goalkeeper.
Thought Bowyer was more of a temporary manager untill they found their man but done a really good job till now.

Purrington will probably score the winner.

Oh the irony of the football gods..............

I think Bowyer was temporary but proved to be a good choice. Popular with both players and supporters and they do not want to see him go. Charlton's problem is with their owner. A Belgium bloke who would not survive if he walked on their terraces on a Saturday afternoon. Somebody would not be able to resist if what I read is right.

My son and grandson.....Charlton season ticket holders.... are keeping quiet about this game....(play-off nerves)....probably have to play Portsmouth whatever....but who will have the home tie second ?

Reading Charlton websites and local papers...the feeling is 3pts in the bag.....having witnessed Argyle failing to hold on to a lead at the Valley earlier in the season.....I am crossing everything for a win.....which might be difficult seeing Mrs Plym and I are going for our usual walk around High Elms Country Park later this morning.

Two great mysteries in the first half.

How on God's Earth are we 1-0 down?

How in the name of all that's holy have Charlton still got 11 on the pitch,?

    0-2...F/T.

We can't score while on top.....and we can't see a game out in injury time to win either....we're just not good enough.

The talk seems to be we collapsed after Carey missed the penalty....and showed no real fight in the second half, having given a soft og away at the start of the 2nd half to go 0-2 down....game over.....and what control we did have disappeared when Sarcevic was subbed.

Still not safe of course and some difficult games to come....will our 4pt buffer be enough.
