The midfielder, who is set to face to his former side for Newcastle United this weekend, left the Reds to join Swansea City back in 2013.

Having been limited to just 15 Premier League appearances this season because of injury and non-selection, the England international is desperate to face Jurgen Klopp’s side on Saturday.

And speaking to theChronicleahead of the game, he’s admitted he regrets leaving Liverpool when he did.

I probably shouldn’t have left Liverpool.

    lose lose this weekend

If we win I think City will blow Leicester away
If we draw/lose City will blow Leicester away to win the league
If we draw/lose City could relax and maybe drop points knowing it doesn't matter

City will, if we lose, have the trophy at the eithiad to be awarded to them in case of win.

If we draw in theory it does to final day even if they win (3 point gap but gd massive)

We must win, retake lead and put pressure on.

Then in theory cup on final day would be on helicopter between Liverpool and Brighton but normally they wouldn't award it at away ground

I'd like to think our team has enough at least deny city a home title win party. Let win and just hold heads up.

Liverpool should win easily , if Newcastle were full strength I might have given them a slight chance, but no lascelles, no longs staff, no Perez and no almiron means you're looking at 3 or 4 goals to zero.

Lineker.. who supports and and all of his old teams as the fancy takes him.
Rio ferdinand who thinks he's a manc but is a pure plastic londoner. He unlike linkere seems utterly disinterested in leeds and west ham.

Danny muprhy - ex red but works ofr bbc. really will say anything he is told to.

Michael Owen. Why is he associated with our club as ambassador??

don't forget the usual ****s like charlie drunken nicholas and so forth and so on.
