Barcelona have reportedly put Philippe Coutinho up for sale, according to Calciomercato, but Liverpool shouldn’t make an approach to re-sign the Brazilian unless it was for below £100million.
The last two weeks have been absolutely brilliant for Liverpool as they made sure they reached the final of the Champions League in historic fashion, beating Barcelona 4-0 in the second leg to come back from a three-goal deficit.
They also finished second in the Premier League with the third highest ever points tally.

    £100m <laugh>

Klopp won't re-sign him so the discussion is mute but...

It would have to be under £60m before consideration comes in to it!

I'm struggling this year with exactly who I would like us to sign. It's been along time since we've had a starting 11 this good.

I couldn't really think of someone who would improve the first 11 and we could realistically go out and get.

Improve first 11? Can only think of adding a midfielder to the mix.

However with the amount of rotation Klopp does there are definitely places to improve

    the realistic part is tough.

obviously some names we have been linked to would be good. de ligt or however he spells his name... lol.

    but realistically?

first 11 is quite predictable with a gap at no 8 maybe.

Looking at how we play, to fill in the no 8 your looking for a creative midfielder, who can pass and shoot (there is a few put there) as an additional they must also be willing to run there bollocks off for the team, and be good in the press ( can't think of one player)

I know everyone is very excited about delight, but why would we spunk that amount of money on an area we are resonably well covered in. It would be a vanity signings and nothing else.

    iverpool after young stars
The Daily Mail claim that Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards is targeting young, hungry players who can put the first team players under pressure.

Villareal’s Samuel Chukwueze, Ajax’s David Neres and Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt are all targets.

Liverpool are also said to have ran the rule over Lille’s Nicolas Pepe and Bristol City’s Lloyd Kelly.
Liverpool scouts watch Marseille and Lyon stars
Liverpoolscouts were in attendance for Lyon’s 3-0 win over Marseille at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday.

OL claimed a convincing victory, via goals from Maxine Cornet (2) and Moussa Dembele.

That boosted their hopes of a third place finish in Ligue 1 this term, with Bruno Genesio’s men needing just a win from their final two matches to ensure finishing above Saint Etienne.

But Lyon face a fight over a number of their most talented players this summer, with some of Europe’s biggest sides actively monitoring their key men.

Front and centre in southern France on Sunday were Reds staff, and according toreports in France,a number of Lyon players were being watched as thePremier Leaguerunners-up seek to strengthen this summer.

For me, this is the most feasible story I’ve read so far. Remember we have Ox and Keita (who finally came good) back in the fold. Some creativity in the centre would be nice. Realistically, who’s going to watch Robbo and think that they will displace him? It’s good solid, young potential that we need for some positions....

But I would like real quality to add to the front 3. Not just Origi and Brewster - the latter still needs to prove that he can step up. Quality rotation is important in this role and we were very luck with injuries up front this season too.

For me, the cover at LB needs to be a player that can also play RB or LM/LW. Very unlikely to get anyone half decent that can only play LB as they're not going to get ahead of Robbo.

It's similar at RB but for Trent being more versatile than Robbo, nor is he the strongest defensively so there is the possibility of a more defensive option to compete with Trent. Would need more creativity in CM if we played a more defensive option at RM though.

wellllll... I don't know it would depending on what klopp got.

    right now

    fabinho
    Henderson Keita

for example has a bit of everything but Keita has some stepping up to do.

I still think windy is not a great attacking player as he wants so long on ball. he can play any role which is great of course as the option.

ox is attacking... but again is a dribbled and shooter.. see Keita.

lallana is toast and Milner won't be too far behind.

    or... a lcb/lb option.

the modern game demands that up and down the wing though...

the funny thing is I can think of many right footed left backs but no left footed right backs. I wonder is that just down to how many right footed players there are.

Sessegnon would me a good shout imo. Still very young and massive potential. Price might be a issue though

Liverpool: Signing Maxi Gomez would spell the end for Divock Origi
It’s almost crazy to think that the hero of Liverpool’s incredible 4-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League was Divock Origi.

The Belgian striker, who not too long ago that was seen as surplus to requirements by fans, was one of the main reasons Liverpool were able to secure passage to their second consecutive Champions League final as the former Lille man scored a brace in one of the craziest European games of all time, and it isn’t the only time Origi has been the hero this season.

His winning goals against Everton and Newcastle United kept the Reds in the title race right until the final game of the season, and with news of a new deal on the table for Origi, it has certainly been a successful season for the 24-year-old attacker, but hi
position in the team could still be under threat.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Reds are interested in Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez, who has caught the eye of many teams this season after an impressive season in La Liga, and with a £41 million release clause, Liverpool have the funds to make the deal a reality.

Likened to Luis Suarez, Gomez is the kind of the striker that will get Liverpool fans excited about the future due to his comparisons to the former Anfield star, but it will also be a big damper on Origi’s chances of one day making it into the first-team.

The striker will likely be forced away from Anfield or even go out on loan again if Jurgen Klopp signs the Uruguayan attacker, and after the impact Origi has had this season, it will be a damming move from the Liverpool boss to replace a player who has etched his way into club folklore.
