The PL provisional fixtures are out : https://www.skysports.com/tottenham-hotspur-fixtures As always, the games against the top 6 of last season are of initial interest. Those games are nicely spread out over the season, and most notably 4 of the 5 away games will be done and dusted 2 weeks before the Christmas fixture melee begins.
Forgot how to merge threads so I'll just paste in what I wrote... We kick off with Villa at home. Bit **** after that, mind. Away at City 2nd game, Emirates for our second away game, 4/5 games against the top 6 are away in the first half of the season with United a midweeker in December and Chelsea at home in the Christmas run-in. Oh well, at least this means we have to get out business done early, right?.... RIGHT???! Fixtures on the Beeb
You're more positive about it than me! Our first 9 away games, which take us up to December are: City, Arsenal, Leicester, Brighton, Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, United, Wolves. 8/9 were top half teams last season including the league winners, NLD, CL winners and another derby. Not great if you ask me.
Quite like getting some tough games out the way early. Can’t remember the last time we had a NLD so early in the season. Playing City early on ‘may’ be the best time as well... or we might just get ****ing battered and feel all doom and gloom after game week two
Also buzzing to show everyone just how overrated Grealish is once Ndombele and Lo Celso run rings around him. Might make you lot shut up after all this time hyping him up.
Pochettino squads get going over the Christmas period. Therefore being thereabouts just before that point is all that is necessary. If the squad is sufficiently strengthened this summer, then I expect the fatigue/injury slump that happened last Jan-Feb not to be a problem.
Villa fans obviously haven't been educated in the way of RCL, judging by how they're all over Twitter saying Grealish will tear us a new one in our first game...
An indicator of what happened to the club over the last year and a half... please log in to view this image

Updated the fixtures for the provisional UEFA season calendar : https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/calendar2019.html CL group stage draw pending, but the following is of note : 1. Only one PL top 6 clash around a CL fixture week 2. Could be a block of 4 consecutive away games starting late Oct, depending on the CL fixture roster + Spurs reaching LC round 4.
The real updated fixture list needs to take into account how many Saturday lunchtime kickoffs we can have before it stops being inconvenient and starts becoming exceptionally ****ing irritating
PL (like for like with 2018-19 after 1 game) : Pts 0, GF 0, GA 0. Aston Villa paired with Fulham 2018-19, PL busparquet game stats : W/D/L = 1/0/0 = 3 pts.
