Good Morning. It's Friday 16th August, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines

    Nketiah's penalty clause

Nketiah's loan deal contains a penalty clause meaning Leeds will have to pay Arsenal more money if they do not use him on a regular basis.

Unsurprisingly after seeing how sparingly Leeds used their loanees last season, and falling out with Chelsea in the process, Arsenal Manager Unai Emery is keen for his 19yo starlet to have as much game time as possible and added the penalty clause following being impressed with Victor Orta's hour long presentation at Arsenal's training base outlining why a move to Elland Road was the best solution for the young striker.

Phillips close to agreeing new deal

Kalvin Phillips is close to agreeing a long term deal at Elland Road, that will see him become one of the highest paid players at the club. The enforcer's current deal comes to an end at the end of the 2020-21 season that could see the 23yo walk away from the club for nothing. Its widely known that Phillips is a true Leeds fan and has made it clear that he is not greedy; he just wants what is fair. Having seen that Casilla is being paid £40,000 a week has apparently upset many players in the dressing room who are on between £8,000 - £12,000 a week.

    Radrizzani's fury with Bielsa

Speaking in the Amazon Prime Video documentary ‘Take Us Home’ Radrizzani has revealed for the first time his unhappiness about Spygate and in particular Bielsa's 70 minute power point presentation to the World!

Radrizzani said: “We should not be in this position. “We could easily not be in this position because the press conference of Marcelo was unnecessary. “So, he could have done this to explain to the EFL representatives or the FA representative. But I think it was pointless to do it publicly in my opinion. “Unnecessary. I mean he could have explained the same content to the federation and league – why to the public?”

Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear said the club did not accept the size of the EFL sanction, saying: “On the basis that we didn’t break any specific rule, I think the fine was severe.“When you look at when other clubs have been fined either for financial irregularity or how their fans have behaved or how their players have behaved, it was harsh.”

    Bielsa's pre match press conference

At yesterday's presser Bielsa admitted (tongue in cheek) that he will select the same team that drew against Nottingham Forest last weekend. Here are the bits you need to know about:-

    Good Morning all
Spygate will just not go away <grr>
For Cryin out loud this is Leeds United were talking about, we knew their would be a punishment (although no rules were broken) at one point their were even rumours of a points deduction, so let’s face it we were all were relieved when it was although unjustly, was just a fine, I think at that point we breathed a sigh of relief. I Reckon any other club would have got away with it, but we being Leeds well an opportunity presented itself for the EFL TWATS, Also flames being stoked from that prat, Fat Frank didn’t help. Any way let’s move on

    Nketiah's loan deal

Can understand the loan clause of having to shell out more if not being played, but he will & soon, as he’s not another crock like Izzy brown (we’ve learned our lesson their) got a feeling he could become a fans favourite, shame their doesn’t appear to be an option to buy (but could be wrong) if we gain promotion, with the help of his goals he will surely score.

    As for Bielsa
I have not heard of a more honourable man, even paid the stupid fine, his presentation, which i thaught was a master stroke, helped explain why he watched teams in training,The press & the public were in awe of the man after that, the only ones not impressed were ------------------- yep you guessed it EFL & Derby .

Good Morning to Matt and co from a chilly Bardsey
I see that Kiko miss his cross and had a crash here in Bardsey fortunately it was just a bump and all is well.Having lived in Mallorca for 20 years I can tell you the natives are not good drivers!
Pleased to see that Phillips is about to sign a new contract I wish we had sorted out Klitch at the same time

I remember years ago they called the team the Bushby babes tthen it was Drakes ducklingsand Fergies Fledglings how about Bielsas blitzkreig babes! I think it is rather appropriate I leave it to Doc and Matt to show pictures of the babes

Morning all. Btw Philips has been about to sign a new contract for past three months if you were to believe everything you read. Either way, means nothing much to us whether he does or not just guarantees him more money, deservedly, and more cash for the club when he moves on. What is the point in Rads opening his gob on tv to criticise Bielsa. Its done and dusted and what will that achieve. Cant imagine the likes of Liverpool or scum allowing such nonsense to be aired but maybe Im wrong. Its great Eddie has that built in appearance clause. I personally think hell be a long way ahead of Paddy in quality and hope he plays most games

There are times when I wished Leeds Utd had stood up to the bullies that are the FA and more so the EFL. It's seems it doesn't matter if we're honest. in the right or whatever, the twats seem to hammer us anyway. As for Bielsa being an honorable man, when he gifted villa a goal, he didn't think of the many gamblers out there that may have lost hundreds/thousands because of his actions. <ok> A bit off thread, but, I hate VAR. IMO (although)we would have benefited from it last season. What with all the dodgy decisions.<ok>

The gambling bit, is none of Bielsas business, some will have lost, others will have gained. He made the choice on football alone and while I didn't agree with him, it was his choice to make.Maybe he had it down as a draw on his coupon.

Radrizzani and his comments about spy gate and Bielsa, if he carries on like that Bielsa will walk and we all know who to blame.
He has basically done what he said Bielsa should not have done I.e open his big gob.

First thing that came to mind when reading about that was the clown O'Learys disastrous book. Undermined the whole setup at the time. I wish Rads would let Bielsa get on with everything Leeds and let Rads concentrate on his eleven sports nonsense

It may well be none of his business Chesh but tell that to the supporters who bet on the match. I don't think it was his business to give them a goal back either. <ok>

Sod O'Leary's book. What about his 'alleged' underhand dealings with crooked agents or the time he 'allegedly' insisted on spending 200k on a translator for Decourt, even though he was not needed at all as the french man spoke perfect English.

Below is a page from Ridsdale's book just outlining one of O'Leary's 'alleged' determiners. In the book, he challenges O'Leary to sue him if there was anything written that was untrue.

Although I agree that releasing the book at the time was a disaster, I bet you enjoyed the roller coaster ride that we had under his reign...<ok>

Ridsdale was and is the problem, he can try and shift the blame, but he was the one who recruited O'Leary and he was the one who mis managed the club. I for one will never forgive him for that. <ok>

In one respect Radz has every right to have an opinion because he does paid the mans wage(not that he needs it). We all want transparency after all. Should he not be able to have an opinion without the threat of upsetting Bielsa. Bielsa could walk anytime for any reason. I don't think he will because he does seem to have an affection for the club(I could be wrong)<ok>

Perfectly entitled to have an opinion as is any of us. Airing it on TV is a different thing and utterly pointless. No employee will take kindly to being criticised in public. Bielsa paid the fine himself and that should have been the end of it. Anyway its time the club moved on from last seasons flop and don't see this documentary being helpful to be honest if its going to keep raking up the spy gate nonsense. Its over and we should be looking forward not back

So you don't think that Radz said to Bielsa behind closed doors that he wasn't happy regarding spygate or powerpoint gate. I'm sure Bielsa isn't that sensitive to opinions. You only get criticism if you're not doing your job well or you've done something wrong. <ok>
