Hull City manager Grant McCann has a near fully-fit squad, but left-back Callum Elder (calf) remains sidelined.

The Australian is also likely to miss Tuesday's home game with Blackburn.

    Match facts
    • Only one of the past 21 league meetings between Brentford and Hull has ended as a draw (nine Brentford wins, 11 Hull wins), a 1-1 stalemate at Griffin Park in May 2018.
    • Hull's heaviest Championship defeat of the 2018-19 season was their 5-1 loss at Brentford in February.
    • Brentford have allowed their opponents just 15 touches in their box in their first two Championship matches - six fewer than any other team.
    • Hull have won just one of their previous 12 away league matches in London (W1 D3 L8), a 3-2 win at QPR last season.
    • Brentford have not conceded a goal in open play in any of their past four Championship games at Griffin Park, a run of 372 minutes since Harry Wilson's goal for Derby in April.
    • Hull have lost eight of their previous 10 away Championship games (W1 D1 L8), collecting just four points from a possible 30.
I’ll be sat in a boozer in Benidorm for this
Tough but someone’s gotta do it !
    City will win 2-1

Had to expand the boundaries a little bit, but I reckon it's a keeper...

Has anyone mentioned that furthest Brentford have ever been in the FA Cup was the 5th rd ? v Hull City at Boothferry Park. Or at least it used to be. Of course I was at the game, me being a superfan, and remember them leading 1-0 up to quite late in the game. City eventually won 2-1. It was either 65/66 or 70/71, having seen so many games the seasons all merge into one to me.
Have I ever told you about the time I saw City reserves put ten past Workington reserves ? That was a long time ago as well. Our first team also beat their first X1 6-0 about the same time. I was at that game too, obviously.

Point of order. Chris Balderstone played for Donny against Brentford in September 75.

    It wasn't in goal neither.

70/71. From memory 29,709 there. Another example of City’s yo-yoingg crowds as in the previous round there were over 5,000 more there for the game against Blackpool. Previous home league game was only 20,000 despite Sunderland bringing a fair few down. Next home league down to just under 24,000 for the Blackburn home game, the rearranged one after first one was abandoned due to fog. Being a super duper fan I was at all of those and amongst the pathetic turn out of about 100 in the 31,000 crowd at Leicester the week before the Brentford game and the even more paltry turn out of about 20 at QPR the week after it.

Well, I'm giving Tiger TV a go for this one, so all set to watch the game. I will be happy with a point as this with be a toughy. It will be interesting to see if they can keep it going in the 2nd half. 1-1 with Eaves getting ours.

I think it will be 2-1 but not sure which way.
I would take a draw now if offered going into our two home games.

Brentford are a good team - backed by an ambitious board - unlike us - backed by a pair of grasping clowns - i fear we will get a tonking today - George North looked very fragile against Reading.

Honeyman in for Batty. Unlucky on Batty that, he’s had a great start to the season.

    Batty our for Honeyman.

Honeyman must have something in McCann. He wouldn’t even have got into my old primary school team.
