Yeah I think this is the biggest opening partnership by any team in this series.... sorry if I curse it
I didn't curse it as much as the commentator who was explaining how much better England had played Lyon....doh!
"A nice, steady start this for Australia" utters Shane Warne at 18/0. Next ball from Broad and Harris' off stump cartwheels off towards the boundary Great work, Shane - keep it up.
Aussies 22-1 chasing 399 Commentators have been pretty awful this match, were going on about the bat I was just typing that. The commentators have been awful this match!
Blinding ankle high catch from Stokes to dismiss Smith for......23 This is good fun - shame the urn is on the next Qantas 747
Despite not winning the series I think there were some positives for England. Burns with the batting, I think he will get better and showed some good innings and managed to get a hundred. We still need to find him a partner and shore up the batting. Stokes batted well and won us one test and got us very close in the drawn test, we ran out of time. Batting is something that needs to be worked on. Though coming straight from the world cup, not sure that there was much time for our batsmen to prepare correctly. Bowling England were unfortunate with Anderson's injury and the fact we played the 1st test effectively with 10 men. I thought Broad bowled very well and him getting the best of Warner was a joy to behold. Archer was good and will get better. Whether Anderson keeps going for a couple of years or not, we need to find another good quick. I am on the fence with Leach, but one thing's for sure he's got balls! We also need to find a way of getting Smith out! Seriously the guy's a sandpaper cheating scumbag machine! I think England did reasonably considering they lost 4 out of the 5 tosses, but they need to start preparing now for the ashes in 2 years, doesn't mean throwing the baby out with the bathwater, but get another FAST bowler ready and sort out another opener and middle order batsman.
