Rumours hes been offered the job. I think if true it's a disaster waiting to happen. Hes a nut case, cant deal with slack from supporters either.
They were interviewing this afternoon so I'd be surprised if a decision has been made so quickly. I really dislike Pearson but his teams are fit, organised and intense ... .... 3 components Ross seemed to ignore. We'll announce the new manager tomorrow imo and he'll take training on Monday.
Just posted on the other thread Don't really fancy him mainly because his recent record since leicester is pretty ****e But if they have offered him it so early suspect it may be because Philips will be coming with him That would be interesting
I suppose it does. My feeling is that Clough and Pearson being there this afternoon, on top of the other candidates this week, would make it surprising if an offer has already been made. I'd expect the club to sleep on it first and decide tomorrow.
Pearson is bonkers and I don't like him as a person but I have liked all of our managers in recent years apart from Moyes and where has that got us. More often than not I'll listen to the opposition managers verdict on the match and I think they sound like a deluded tosser, maybe we need a bit of that.
Any word that they have interviewed Stendel mate Think he's the kind of manager to take us forward. Well just desperate for us to play some attractive football Not convinced about Pearson but if he brings in Philips I might give him some slack
I think he would be perfect. Has a wealth of experience, has won league one and the Championship. He built the foundations for the Leicester team that won the premier league, his 2nd last game in charge was vs ourselves as it happens and that team had Schmeichel, Morgan, Huth, Mahrez, Albrighton, King, Vardy and Ulloa all in the starting 11. This is enough on his CV to convince me that he has enough to succeed here.
I've been told Ainsworth, Cook, Parkinson, Pearson, Clough and, I believe, Phillips although not 100% sure about the last one.
Nads reckons that we've already spoken to Stendel, whether that's right and what spoken to means exactly I have no idea.
Out of the names linked I think Pearson and Phillips would be the most exciting although I can see why some people would be against Pearson. I would be pleased with it. I wonder if Pearson would maybe be against having Phillips as no 2 because deep down he must know Phillips is after his job. Would also quite like Clough but apart from smug haven’t heard anyone else mention him this time around
