Today showed again how limited this squad is. Whilst I believe that we are under-performing massively, I wonder if the best we can hope for is to stay in touch until January and (assuming the investmentover happens) recruit 4/5 players who can improve the first XI then make a real push for the play offs/2nd place? It's going to be very tough to watch for the next couple of months
We will be lucky to scrape 6th after that performance. Reinforcements required urgently that are actually scouted and poses the attributes that the team lack, particularly mobility, pace and power.
The best we can hope for this season is play offs in my opinion. In terms of best outcomes, I’d say changes off the field of play to give our club a chance of competing in the leagues above again.
E very week we seem to find a new "lowest ebb". Things have to change. We look like bang average L1 side
It’s plainly obvious that top two is beyond this squad. Best we can hope for is the playoffs and we know what that means Staggering to post such an assertion but there we are. The truth is a bastard The only hope is to sign some quality in January. We desperately need a Marco to lift the place An all time low atm for safc
The problem is as it was last season. Crap recruitment and crap scouting, yet neither of those in charge of those departments is in any danger of going.
The situation is truly depressing Donald was a saviour but is now the villain. The club is being run on a shoe string
I said at the start of the season we’d finish between 6-10th in the league and got pelters. I wish I was wrong but I can’t see any way we’re going up this season.
I still think we'll finish in the top 2. The parkies will improve our fitness & well, randomness, and up we go.
I think we could finish in the top two with this squad but we'd definitely be punching. I know the lad is currently in the depths of some kind of waking nightmare but Grigg is a goal machine at this level if he can find his mojo, which you can't rule out with a new manager. I also think McNulty is a top player in this league and if him and Grigg maybe strike up a partnership who knows what could happen. We've got a couple of other players who would get into most teams like McGeady and Maguire, rest of the squad is meh but can play better than they currently are. Assuming the worst and we don't get better than we did today we're going to need to pull some Houdini **** in the transfer market and make our wage budget perform miracles. If the new dudes have provided capital it shouldn't be a problem to identify the right players and get them in.
No one to score the goals No real creativity Ponderous midfield 2 poor fullbacks The only glimmer I have is that even with those weaknesses this league is that ****e that we still might have enough to be in and around the play offs come January. But if donald or whoever is in charge come then they MUST spend some money on actual quality players at this level who can come straight in to this team and improve it drastically
