Sensational from saints today. Utterly superb.

    On to Everton! Huge game!

    On another note.

    Guardiola.

Sort yourself out man. You are acting like a spoilt brat and think you’re above the laws of the game. You are embarrassing yourself.

I think he is a vile man and that his antics today need to be looked into.

    Almost assaulting Hassnhuttl.
Sprinting well out of his technical area to get the ball.
Taking the ball off ward prowse just to make a point.

    Noting will be done though.

Sounds like the team out in a proper performance today. We need to replicate this throughout November and December to pull out of the relegation zone and then think about rebuilding the squad. I feel that the performance was so embarrassing last week it was going to produce a reaction but lets have the same in front of the home fans next weekend! We have been patient at St Mary's and a performance is well overdue.

but lets have the same in front of the home
    ----------------------------

We'll have to set the team up the same. And that will be a risk.
Its almost like damned if you do and damn if you don't.

Let’s not forget that he actually takes the ball out of Ward-Prowses hands to do this.

The guy needs to calm down.

I blame Mason for what happened there, he either didn't explain what he was doing, or perhaps Big Mac didn't know the rule about when the ball strikes a Referee, he was clearly asking the Referee for advice, for whatever reason Mason refused to answer him.

I'm already waiting to hear/read a comment at some point later in the season, something along the lines of "how can we defend so well away to Man City, and yet so poorly against this rabble".

Sure, if anyone wants Tony Pulis to take over here, we can replicate today's defensive performance on a regular basis. And almost certainly avoid relegation in doing so. But, as we saw with Puel, most fans wouldn't put up with that over a sustained period of time.

Whereas under Ralph, rightly or wrongly, we won't set up like we did today on a regular basis. And so there will still be games - probably many games - where we lambast the defence.

    Horses for courses.

As a football person he’s amazing, but he’s becoming more of a knob every year.

The camera literally zoomed on McCarthy as he was mouthing "what is it?" with a confused face before he was passed to. He had no idea what was going on.

Properly proud of the boys today. Gritty performance and everyone seemed to have a job and they all did their jobs well. No shame in just getting squeezed by City.

    Oh, I know I shouldn’t have but...

The thing I can see happening (and is actually logical in my mind) is binning Ralph and getting an Allardyce type in. Keep him for a couple of seasons whilst the players we don’t want contracts run out so are easier to move on and accept we will be ****/boring in that time, but stable enough to stay up. Frees up wages/funds to put into building a team in whatever mould we want to and hope the recruitment is better this time and move for a manager who fits that mould when we have the clear out
