I would agree totally if it weren’t for the press etc but all that will happen if we lose is the pressure will be ramped up on us unbelievably about being bottlers etc
But yeah not end of season if we lose today :)
I want to see us take care of business today
I am not confident but I never am
I think we are more likely to lose a lead in the premier than city are so we need to keep them exactly where they are. Tbf a draw wouldn’t be bad.

The big factor here is Klopp I think. Come win, draw or loss, the media spot light on both teams is enormous. Klopp has to guide them through; a win doesn't mean we're going to win the league, a draw doesn't mean we have no edge over City, a loss doesn't mean we lose the league challenge either.

The game is a mentality game more than anything both going into it and from whatever happens afterwards.

    I agree.
It's way to early to consider this a defining moment for the season in terms of the result - but the attitude, both going into the game and after the result, will indicate who has what it takes to go the whole way.
Imo, we have to live or die by the sword here - playing to not lose won't do it.

We have to go at their back 4 as that is so obviously their weak point though think Klopp may go quite conservative & rely on the front 3 to do the damage

He may keep the FB's withdrawn a little to counter their threat on the flanks, but ultimately that takes away a huge part of our attacking threat.
Against Spurs, Trent was holding back a little to counter Rose getting forward, but after the break Hendo went to that side and the tide turned. We need the correct midfield set-up that will allow Trent and Robbo the opportunity to attack them.

Jose Mourinho "Tactical foul by Manchester City is obvious", just now on Sky Sports.

Agree. We've always played poorly when trying to just 'contain' the opposition and come away safe with a 'anything but a loss' attitude. We're unstoppable when we go for a win and play brave. Particularly at home, we have to go at their defense today - especially with all the changes they have there. Our midfield selection will show our attitude, Ox or Gini (Fab and Hendo are nailed on to start here, lets be honest). Gini is playing well right now, but he's not the same driving force as Ox. He could go for a Milner/Hendo pairing too, but Gini is more likely imo.

Also, anyone seen the article on BBC? Talks about City missing their keeper and defender plus other injuries, mentions the infamous bus attack, Mane's 'diving', how Liverpool have been lauded by the press for our CL win but City aren't heralded as much despite their treble and back to back PL titles, 'City's incredible growth and consistency' ...absolute bollocks article. What about our missing GK for most the season and currently missing CB, City's coin attack which blinded a LFC fan, City's tactical fouls AND diving, them throwing objects at a bus in 2018 mere days after our game...No mention that City's growth and consistency is maybe more to do with their ridiculous, continuous spending power (also no mention of their FFP rule flaunting) rather than managerial genius. Small case in point, City have spent 405million (203million on CBs and 202million on fullbacks) on defenders ALONE since 2014/15. Forgive me if I don't have sympathy for their injury list.

Yeah. I saw the "bus attack" mind games stuff. I try not to read all the punditry bollocks generally, because it's just annoying.

Everyone doing their best to hype this game up. It's only November for Christ's sake.

But the bus attack crap is so unnecessarily biased. All fans have their moron sections - including City's.

It is a game that a draw is not good for Manchester city than for Liverpool. City are more under pressure for Liverpool.
    League table.
    1>Liverpool 31 points
    2.Leicester 26 points
    3.Chelsea 26 points
    4.Manchester city 25.
#A point will make city joint on points with Leicester and Chelsea, second on goal difference.

If we win, the media will insist we've already won it it's a foregone conclusion <doh>
