Disappointing not to hear about the details of the investment. Must still be required to keep it secret.

I feel less concerned about the academy, CM explained well why the 18s and 23s have been struggling but all levels below that are at the top.

It will be interesting to see whether 'we will be backing the manager in January (even without the investment money)' means some big safe improvements in the 1st team squad or more cheap gambles.

I also liked his point that he only had a go at the 1% of all fans that have been sending abuse to SD, and it is only that same 1% that are now saying CM is giving all fans a bad reputation. A certain accountant springs to mind!

I spoke to one of the RR lads yesterday so not much was going to be revealed, but we are investing in the transfer window.

We desperately need to. Hopefully a central midfielder who can create and have a bit of muscle about him. A right back.Oh and a centre forward

Given the league is utter dog **** we're not that far away

Maybe all parties are keeping their cards close to their chests re investment. If they start saying that they have x amount to spend, clubs will probably double the price

I thought the answer to the question I also asked was disappointing. I could have understood if he'd have left it at 'it's private but I can assure you that it doesn't impact SAFC as the debt is entirely Madrox's', but to then give the condescending 'ask them' answer is needlessly ****ty.

However, I do understand they want to keep it private, and provided that such a deal doesn't impact the club negatively, then it is their own business how they fund 'investment' they put in. As long as they actually intend to pay their own liabilities, rather than take out loans in the club's name to pay their own debts (as they did with the share payment to Short in April) then can't take any issue with that.

I don't see how not wanting to speak for them when he knows full well they wouldn't want him to is condescending.

Seems like they're keeping their cards close to their chest, as they should, and we all have to accept that.

For the second point, I agree, but the first question wasn't 'what is their motivation', it was about the tangible benefit they're getting from loaning them the money. If that could change the ownership structure of SAFC at some point in the future, I think it's a legit question to ask, even if they won't answer it.

I think he's trying to hint that there is something more to it than a loan but he doesn't want to and probably isn't allowed to be open about it. If you're happy with a 'no comment' I still don't see how 'ask them' is remotely condescending. It's the same answer but with an underlying hint.

If it's private, why bother telling us to ask them though? It's just needlessly facetious and antagonistic. Just say the first bit.

Like I say he's trying to suggest that there is more to it but it's not his place to say.

No, he said it was private. People are running with what they want to happen, which is fine, but there's no evidence that it's more than a loan to Madrox from FPP at this point.

If it was just private he'd have said so. If he wanted to hint at something he'd have said maybe ask them what their intentions are. Again, not condescending either way.

I've seen enough of you to know that discussions with you go round in circles until everyone wants to bang their head against a wall so I'll leave it there.

Or we could just agree to disagree, apparently people here can't do that without resorting to personal attacks.

I can't see any personal attacks on you on this thread KM. But you seem to be close to repeating your vendetta and derailing this thread, which is just about the RR podcast.

CM said on this podcast that even before the investment, PP was promised he would be backed in January, presumably with SD's money paid back into the club (against his £20m). How about we all just back off the attack/defence until we know more facts?
