So MPs should ignore the votes of the people who elected them on the basis they know better? Applies equally to MPs who ignored the way their constituents voted, both Leave and Remain. They don’t say those same people didn’t understand what they voted for when they elected them.

Our leaders of political parties have a personality?

I watched the one on the BBC on Friday and Johnson tried to not answer a single question instead spouting his new catchphrase “get Brexit done” and telling us what labour were going to do instead.

UKIP got 3 times the votes the SNP did. They would have held the balance of power under PR as they would have had over 40% of the seats Labour got. The Green Party would have had as many seats as the SNP. Which is why the major parties won’t vote for bringing in PR. Don’t want Parliament representing what people actually want do they? Instead we have a load of SNP MPs when they got less than 1 million votes spouting off. Sturgeon ignores the fact more Scots voted for Brexit than for theSNP.

Corbyn and McDonnell are anti capitalist and admired the GDR and USSR. Ironic when they had no unions, no right to strike and no freedom of movement, kept in by barbed wire and walls and shot if trying to leave. Their ideas are nothing like the Centrist Left across Europe which uses their successful capitalist economies to pay for their system.

So many “misspeaks” in one post.

Do you work for the MSM?

I was 20 in 1970 so was able to vote that year in the first General Election where under 21s could vote. My dad said to me whilst chatting in the pub, I don’t care who you vote for but just vote. Me and your mother spent over 5 years of our lives in uniform in a war where millions lost their lives to maintain that freedom. Billions around the world wish they had the chance and hundreds of millions are six foot under who fought for that chance. Always have done. Tried to instil it into my kids but not successfully. Which is why when they moan about what is going on I tell them I am not interested. Of course, those people also fought for the freedom not to vote, but I think everyone should take the opportunity.

Regardless of his political beliefs, Corbyn must be the least intelligent person to head a major political party. Two Es at A level would not even get you into an entry level clerical job in Hull these days.

His 'work' record also shows no experience in managing or leading a large organisation or even department.

It's astonishing he has got as far as he has without being rumbled.

That said, I believe other more intelligent and ruthless people are probably pulling the strings behind the scenes.

I’ve seen JC speak 6 times in the last 3 years. JM 3 times. In none of those speeches has either being even close to promoting an Anti-Capitalist agenda.

The pledges & policies in this Manifesto, & the last one, would bring our Country in line with Policies already being implemented in Holland, Ireland, Germany, France, Slovenia, Norway, Denmark, Greece & many others.

I get my info from listening to them, reading the manifestoes & comparing their Manifesto with that of the other Parties & other Countries. How about you? Where do you get your info?

Just because you referred to “their self interest” like they were a collective. Apols if that wasn’t your intention.

Lets be fair, whoever you vote for, the government always get in.

IMHO....If Labour had a less toxic leader than JC they'd have a much better chance. Of all the major parties I think there is one that is telling the least lies, and that's the one I'll be putting my X next to....BTW it isn't the Lib-Dems. They are away with the fairies.

I understand and agree with everything you told me here. I have similar feelings and I desperately want to vote for a government that I believe will deliver the promises they give.

The thing is, I can't do that, because I don't believe they'll deliver anything they say they'll deliver.

This is where I stand, because this is where they've taught me to stand.

MPs must represent everyone in their constituency. I know some voices have drifted a very long way away from that - but that is surely how a democracy works. No one gets left out for voting the wrong way one time.

I saw that. It’s like he doesn’t want to reveal what his party wish to do in five years of government, other than one thing which he will get done in six weeks. What then? I was amazed the moderator didn’t pull him up on it.

It doesn’t say any of that in the manifesto. Which is the point Ben was making. I think it is very unlikely that a majority of 650 MPs will vote for the end of democracy, even in the very unlikely event that a PM proposed it. So I think you needn’t worry too much about that scenario.
