Okay, let's say they have a 32" plasma. What difference does it make? They sell it for £50, a week later, the money has gone, the telly has gone, they're back to where they started.

It's a completely pointless thing to cling to, why do they need to be sat in an empty room before they are allowed help?

    I have absolutely no idea.

But to say 'Global crash mate, nowt we can do about it' seems to suggest the chancellor of the exchequer was powerless or inconsequential.

    Could he have done better?

    Could anyone?

    To those criticising Dianne Abbott.

A working-class, black woman who went to Cambridge and then the rest.

Who here can genuinely match that?

I'm sure they'll try. But they aren't being held to account, nobody is even bothering to attempt to reclaim that money and put it back into the system they take it from. Efforts need to be made to make sure large corporations aren't dodging tax; I'm sure I read somewhere that the Labour party want offshore accounts investigated and those who are using them to avoid paying into the system would be penalised.

They will indeed be gutted when they find out that doesn’t happen. It will be like the 1970s all over again. With a bit of 1960s and the “this doesn’t affect the pound in your pocket” devaluation and restrictions on taking money on holiday, if you can afford one, thrown in.

That would be interesting, as a fair few Labour supporters, like RemainerbBranson and the Guardian take advantage of them.

Why will it? Why have other nations who use socialist policies, like Norway and Holland, flourished? Why aren't they struggling?

9 years the tories have been in power and they're still trying to blame Labour for everything that's ****, it is simply unbelievable. If you look at their record in the past 9 years it is just shocking. Record levels of people living in poverty, worst a&e performance ever, per pupil funding at record lows in schools, homelessness at record levels etc etc, yeah all got to be labour's fault hasn't it....

When people like Ken Clarke and John major are saying don't vote tory, when the royal colleges of nursing, midwifery, GPS and virtually every body associated with the NHS is saying don't vote tory, when police and fire services have been gutted and then blamed for **** like grenfell, maybe it is time to question why you too would back them if you are so inclined.

I can understand well off people voting tory, easy to ignore the increase in poverty and homelessness when you're comfortable yourself, but anyone who isn't particularly well off contemplating voting tory, it staggers me. Seriously look at the type of people who are backing the tories at the top, barclays bros, murdoch, hedge fund managers who made 200m quid betting against the pound, Russian oligarchs in the UK, Julia heartly brewer, Tommy ****ing Robinson, Katie aids ridden scourge of humanity Hopkins. If you're voting tory they are the kind of people on your side.

The one thing I wish people would realise is that it's not a case of Johnson or corbyn. Labour have no chance of a majority, not a single chance and haven't since they lost Scotland. Its the choice between Johnson and a hung parliament that could be led by a joint SNP, Labour, Green, plaid lib dem coalition which would curb the more controversial intentions of the curre t Labour Party. Me personally, I live in a pretty safe labour seat in Sheffield, Blomfeld is a good mp with a great track record on voting, but I won't vote Labour, I'll prob vote green, but of a wasted vote but it'll make no difference in the end. I would love to see electoral reform and a move to proportional representation and a move away from this insane 2 party system we end up having.

Final word goes to some dude I follow on twitter who said, 'Boris Johnson doesn't even give a **** about his own kids, what makes you think he gives a **** about you?'

So they will have their taxes jacked up (your claim), live in a police state (your claim), have the economy turned over to unsustainable oil production and still see no improvement in public services at all? Wow, you are a, err, visionary.

The no politics rule was designed for you Castro. Embrace it.

Yes, massively. Ukraine's currency was massively depreciated during the financial crisis, as was Jamaica's and Kazakhstan's.

13 years Labour were in power and they were still blaming the Tories. In fact they were still blaming Thatcher who hadn’t been in power since 1979. So complaints of the Tories not altering things in 9 years is a bit rich.

In the early 70s, Britain was the second most equal country in Europe, only behind Sweden.
