Nothing on here for the Liverpool game at all, not surprising with it being the festive period, hope everyone had a great one (until that last night anyway).

Think some changes are needed for the next one, they are just looking tired and we risk running out of steam. Purely from a confidence point of view, it is a must win. Rodgers needs to look at himself for the first time as we seem gutless and not even in these games against the top sides. Defeats happen but the manner of these last two is the problem, tactically a shambles and awful set up from Brendan. It’s really ironic that we went from a manager who could only seem to get results against the big boys and **** against the rest to one who sweeps all aside from below but can’t buy a win against any top side. Dare I say it, Brendan could do worse than review how Puel set us up for these games as that really could help towards becoming a complete team...

    for tomorrow anyway

    Schmeichel
    Justin Evans Soy Chilwell
    Choudhury
    Gray Praet Maddison Albrighton
    Vardy

Ward Ricardo Morgan Barnes Tielemans Ndidi Iheanacho

An alternative would be to put Ricardo further up as he would probably add more than the wingers currently. Tempted to say rest Chilwell for Fuchs but wouldn’t do that the same time as resting or moving Ricardo upfield.
Tielemans definitely needs a break and Barnes for his confidence. Vardy has his rest last night...(not through fault of his own and not a dig at him)

Spot on about the set up against Liverpool. Brendan making the same mistakes again. Putting Maddison wide left? Been there. Done that. Didn't work before. Didn't work last night. Will never work. Especially if he's being asked to nullify someone like Alexander-Arnold. Don't put square pegs in round holes. Should have pushed Chilwell and Ricardo forward to mark their full backs and played 3 at the back.

If Tielemans is fit enough to play tomorrow then I would start him instead of Praet.

As for Ed's comment about Maddison looking tired; maybe it was despair rather than tiredness.

Didn't have great expectations for the last two but as stated above the manner in which we played was so very disappointing.
Tactics and performance left a lot to be desired.
As a young team I just hope the confidence isn't impacted by those matches.
We'd a couple of shaky matches before that too.
Need a good performance and result against WH.

Aside from the football, hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

Not sure what that line up is tbh....think Rodgers has lost the plot. Not rested anyone for the whole run in so far and drops the whole team... some good changes there but that midfield two looks shocking. Why rest all the attacking threats at once. West Ham at full strength and must be licking their lips

Vardy's wife had her baby this morning and Ricardo has a slight hamstring strain.

Fair play, thought Rodgers had ****ed up making so many changes for the lack of continuity at least not even down to quality of players but he obviously had a better gauge of West Ham who really were bad. That’s absolutely not a slight on our lads tonight but as a home side, playing your strongest and expensively assembled first 11, at home to a side who has made 9 changes, they should be getting outplayed and beaten like that! From our point of view, can only beat what’s in front of us and hopefully it puts the last few games out of mind. Pleased for Iheanacho again and Gray to score after his head could have dropped following the pen.

That really is a poor West Ham side and had we played our first 11 could have been another embarrassing scoreline. Wasn't sure about playing both Mendy and Choudhry together but against a side with few attacking clues worked Ok on the day. I think given we take three points home we have to credit Rodgers with knowing what he was doing.
Congrats to the Vardy family as well

Thought I would just mention 2 fine assists by a player who appears to attract some criticism. Well done Ayoze.

Seemed more effective more central, the second one especially with him running through the middle. Great awareness of Iheanacho’s where abouts for the first as well. Nacho himself has a good return in the last month since he has come back in as well, shame he didn’t seem to be able to get back up after being fouled immediately and take the penalty.

Concerned when I saw the team, particularly as at a wedding and the groom's family were all hammers fans!
    Delighted with the result though.
Safety over the 40 point mark too
