If you could bring in 3 players - who would they be and why. 1) For me central midfielder = Charlie Adam 2) Central defender - Ayala 3) Charlie Austin Austin would be a controversial choice but he cannot get into the WBA first team and would be someone with something to prove Adam - we need an old head in the middle to help the youngsters out Ayala - someone that is a consistent 7 to 8 out of 10 performer
QPR monitoring Dundee United striker Shankland By Julian Taylor 30/12/2019 Embed from Getty Images QPR are monitoring Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland. The Scotland international, 24, has scored 21 goals for his club this season and played twice for his country, scoring against San Marino. Those goals have helped United open up a 14-point lead at the top of the Scottish Championship. The R’s have been keeping tabs on Shankland for some time and director of football Les Ferdinand watched him in action in a derby against Dundee on Friday. I saw Shankland play a few seasons ago when he was on loan at Morton - a good player, and certainly knows how to score goals - 50 goals in 61 games for Ayr, and 19 goals in 16 so far this season for Dundee United earning him a call up to the National team, who he's also scored for, the first striker from 2nd tier to be called up for years. I passed his details onto my pal in the scouting team at the club last year. Don't know how he'd cope in the EFL though....can't be any worse than Mlakar though
I really wanted to put down Mane, Rashford and Van Dyke but not sure if we sold the ground we would raise enough money
Could be worth a punt, he's scored at every level he's played and like Charlie started at lower levels, true goalscorers will do it all the way to the top, hopefully he's one...
Unless Eze or a.n.other is sold I can't see us doing much apart from maybe letting Mlakar go & getting a direct loan replacement. If we do sell I'd like us to try getting Smithies back as first option which would help shore up our defense & worth a good 5-9 additional points in a season compared to the incumbent.
We had money at the end of the summer transfer wndow (we offered £3-4 mill for McKenna), so that money is somewhere within the club, plus the huge savings we've made on wages after the clearout. I'd hope to see 1 or 2 incoming without selling Eze, and I believe we've been in contact with Baadiff regarding a Smithies loan already. A decent CB is a must in my opinion, along with an experienced head somewhere in the middle (although a decent CB could cover both roles)
Sadly any 'saving' has just reduced our debt. Smithies back would be a real boost for everyone. YES PLEASE!
Phillips keeper from charlton Robinson wigans left back Glenn Murray Gallagher or swift The money would probably have to come from a sale or 2 and or sending back a couple of loanees. These should be realistic targets . Not against Scottish signings ,either, given the standard is similar to the championship
Terminating these loan deals (Mlakar and Smith) would certainly be good financial business. It is also reported by Dave Mc so has high integrity. https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/on-loan-pair-could-leave-qpr-in-january
20 mill asking price for Eze? I do not know if this source is reputable, but the asking price for Eze seems “realistic”. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2019/12...ship-talent-but-asking-price-is-issue/447066/
Excellent! I hope that he soon signs a long extension. https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=34814
£20 million for Eze sounds more like what we should be asking. Sheffield Utd are supposed to interested in him, if we got Freeman back, who has hardly played for them ,+ £15 million +, I'd be happy.
He always struck me as someone who wanted to play football regularly, so I do wonder how long he's going to be happy sitting on a Bench.
