Big roumour doing the rounds tonight is that Barnsley have accepted our £6.5m bid for striker Cauley Woodrow, who has not played tonight because of this. Allegedly. Any truth in this, do you think?
Apparently he's a real talent, that's according to a Barnsley aquaintance. If he's the one who's been identified and we're splashing the cash then it's all good.
Well he's already used to the system. Since getting their new manager in November Barnsley have been doing double training sessions, even training on match days, and are the second most high pressing team after Leeds. Barnsley were unlucky to lose to Derby tonight. They were by far the better side.
OMG...just had a crazy thought. If we could actually get Woodrow over the line and then get Bowen from Hull we would get this; A striker, a No'10 and also a winger...plus goals, goals, goals. It's an absolute no brainer.
25 year old ex England u21... not really made it anywhere until pinging a few in in league 1 for Barnsley... and a few this year. (Not exclusively played up front this year) so... If there’s any truth in it... let’s hope he ‘s just been a late developer. Barnsley have played decent football on and off for much of the season... and been good for last month or so. I watched them outplay the baggies last week... had some good young players (and some ex Leeds u23s ) didnt notice woodrow much... think they’ve been playing him as an attacking mid of late... so it may be we see him as an option at 10/attacking mid and striker... though Have heard he plays better up top with a partner... which isn’t our thing.
Boro have now signed 2 Man City players on loan and look to be favourite to sign Jack Clarke on loan too?
OMG linked with £6 million bid for millwalls Jed Wallace according to Facebook ffs someone squash this rumour quickly
