    disregarding ability - we need players who are reliable. I like Matip and want him to stay but he’s always injured for long periods.

    I don’t rate Lovren at all but the same issue - the guy can’t play more than 7 games consecutively.

    He is going to be back early January. I understand Chelsea have the first buy option, other premiership clubs are after him too .

    6 clean sheets on the bounce since Gomez returned.

    If Laporte doesn't have at least the same effect on Man City's clean sheets then their excuse that his injury is the reason for their poor form is blown away.

    I think we have hit a bit of form but I do think Joe has played a big part. We play a higher line this season so that leaves a big gap behind the defence - joe’s pace help to cover that gap. Plus he’s just generally better than dejan.

    Hendo has played really well in Fab’s absence as well.

    Im happy with the 4 cbs we have currently.

    Should any of them leave or be sold (lovren) i like that lestah lad sonchyu? Had a blinder agaisnt us and been brilliant all season tbh from what ive seen.

    Id much rather we kept our four for at least another season before we think about replacing. End of next season we could have hoever ready to step up and save a fortune.

    The difficulty with signing a CB is if you sign a back up, hes not going to be better than what we have. If you sign someone for big money, you stifle Gomez development.

    At the minute we've got a decent mix, they all know when fit they can be given the opportunity in the team.
