Hello all, just joined the board! Does anyone know if this would be a loan deal with an option to buy?
Welcome! Not a clue but I would hope so. Trying trying to remember the last player we loaned in without an option to buy. Caulker? I have a terrible memory and the loan signing we dont buy tend to be pretty forgettable! We signed Pied, Cacares and Taylor on short contracts as backup but they werent loans.
As I said earlier this month, if it's a stand alone loan deal, then I don't understand why either the player or Spurs would be up for it. Cedric for me has played well enough in recent weeks to keep his place until the end of the season - unless we bring in someone for the longer term, in which case why wait four months to move Cedric aside. Do it now. For sure, adding a short term back up for Cedric makes sense for us (eg to cover for Cedric's current injury). But for the player and for Spurs? Loaning him out to go from 3rd choice RB to 2nd choice RB, only for him to go back to the former in the summer when the loan ends?..
I'd hope its with an option and not obligation...really hoping for Mahele in the summer. Not knocking KWP but just my opinion.
Hopefully so, if he comes. A lad in our office is a Spurs ST holder and isnt too complimentary about him.......looks like we'll see ( either here or at Palace).
I’ve got a mate who’s a Spurs Fan. Whenever I see him I say “Who are Spurs playing next?” And he says “Dunno” Maybe it won’t be worth asking his opinion I don’t think he likes Kylie much Ralph wouldn’t sign someone if they didn’t have potential. In Ralph we trust
Who really cares that much about us loaning in back up right back? Wont cost us much and we know he is better than Danso
A Spurs friend of mine has offered to drive him down to SMS for us, doesn’t rate him at all. He was lined up to replace Kyle Walker but failed badly when given the opportunity to the point where they would rather play an absolute liability. Umm!
Sounds like just the sort of player who could have a ten good games, then Spuds demand £18m for. Its a hard situation to win.
Welcome, good to see a few new posters on here recently and if you can get Bob to join as well, then even better.
