1. There is a reasonable discussion to be had about the use of the "y" word at football...but part of that has to acknowledge that it was adopted because some used it abusively at spurs fans and spurs fans do not use it abusively.
Only 4 years ago some ****s displayed a "only jews and pussies" banner at a european match at one of away matches.

2. THFC has regularly discussed it with spurs fans via surveys and continues to do so...and the club does not sell, display or endorse anything with the "y" word.

3. People on here use "niggaz" and are NOT being racist ... and I am will to bet that some are white...as a mixed raced bloke I can see the issue is not as clear cut as some wish to make it. Me lecturing people about their use of lsngusge without understanding and taking into account context would be counter productive.

4. Baddiel is s complete hypocrite and so are the media for not pointing out that he himself has mocked spurs players and the club for it's links to the jewish communities in north london.

He once got a set of photo of spurs players in a pose with their arms up and commented about sbout "jewish" they looked.
He also show a clip of Ronnie Rosenthal (an Israeli spurs player) not passing the ball to Jurgen Klinsmann (a German spurs player) and the punchline was that the war was a while back...so presumably making a joke referencing "Jewish" mannerism of spurs players (not any other club) and referencing the Holocaust (again using spurs players) is ok for him but spurs fans apprpriating the "y" after having vile anti semitism thrown at us for years makes us racist anti semites to him.

The bloke even had the temerity to argue that Chelsea fans heard singing anti semetic chants aimed at spurs at the Bridge against some other team was Spurs fans fault ffs.
I guess he blamed NWA for the racist Chelsea fans refusing to let that black guy on the paris metro!

Oh...and as a point of principle, as s mixed raced bloke I tend to think thst people who black up to tske the piss out a blsck guy is a bit of an ignorant racist ****.

Like I said a sensible debate should and is taking place but if it takes place with each side not listening it will go the same way of most debates.
