Honestly this is a good shout. We signed the best striker in England easily, for quite a sizeable amount of money. He scored a lot, but really, the success we expected never materialised.

    That is technically a flop.

Shola was flop, definition of a flop.

Fantastic youth prospect with skilly feet, neat finishing and strength. Finished his career with, let's be honest, a handful of goals and barely any effort to show for it.

His career was a complete flop.

Jon Dahl Tomasson was a goal poacher and is an Milan legend for being their best super sub. We of course signed and played him wrong.

Rolando Aarons is the one for me, looked great a couple of years ago but had a few dodgy loan spells since. Hopefully he can do well at Mortherwell and win a place back here next season. I can't believe he's not rated above Atsu but that tells you everything you need to know - I presume its down to attitude and not down to technique.

Other honorable mention ise Mapou Yanga Mbiwa - almost basically just for the fact his name brings me great joy to say. Looked great and should have thrived but flopped and shipped back to France.

Maybe, Nacho was definitely a slimey deal that meant if we take the player we get favour with an agent, Xisco was possibly the same.

Regardless of contractual obligations, the main reason Xisco didn't play was cos he was ass. Went from us to the Spanish second division, and never heard of since.

It was more than that. We signed the best player in the world at the time, and that was proven by the world record fee.

The sad fact is Shearer, great for us as he was, was never even close to the player for Blackburn that he was for us.

Shearer was not a flop. Deary me.

A 1 in 2 ratio over ten years. He played under some of the ****test managers in the modern era.

It was the management that flopped when KK left.
