Ok, will do. I was in limbo this afternoon on a sponsored walk and afterwards watching the England game at the Bath Rugby clubhouse, so only saw the result and just caught up with the thread. Sounds like a typical Saints game!
I wasn't necessarily including Valery as one of the players that isn't premier league quality due to this mistake. For what it is worth, I think he has done well so far for his age and you need to accept young players will sometimes make mistakes - but that doesn't make it any less annoying when we give easy goals away.
See that is where I am different to most people. When they stopped the game for VAR i said to my mate "I they give a bloody Penalty I'll have two wines at half time instead of one" #WinWin #EveryCloud
We will but it might not be v Norwich. Probably Arsenal, and Man City, that's what Saints do isn't it? We're not going down but the ride is very bumpy at present!!
Maybe it was a penalty, but bringing a game back to an incident no one saw and no one appealed for, is not what VAR should be for. VAR should just go. Now.
I don’t agree. It was a foul on Boufal. The ref signalled that and booked the Newcastle player. Therefore from the moment he gave the foul the call is technically dead, so there is no way it could be a penalty. If it happened to Liverpool or one of the other top teams there would be screaming about it ..... bloody VAR nonsense .... They stopped the arsenal game for about 5 minutes to look at the goal. I could already see in about 10 seconds that there was no offside. What the **** are they doing?
bringing it back for a clear foul nobody saw is exactly what i think its for. It was used well today imo.
It's important that we spend all that time looking at offsides as we can't possibly have somebody gaining a 2mm advantage 3 passes before a goal. You can score a winning goal in a cup final from a corner that clearly wasn't though and that's sound.
It wasn't a penalty as it should have ben a free kick to us. Boufal was pulled back by their number 10. If he had not been pulled back the ball would have hit his chest. So once more very poor refereeing.
