Pretty much all of this "better safe than sorry" procedure will disappear as soon as a vaccine is developed, tested and distributed. Until then, you can't play the probabilities game, because enough people already won't adhere to safe procedures, even with safe procedure measures and advice in place.
People tend to take good health and being free of disease a little too much for granted. It isn't like that because of people. It's like that because modern medical and sanitary standards tend to keep viral outbreaks to an absolute minimum.
And it'll only be for a few months anyway.

    But would they?
There are still far too many people who don’t understand just how dangerous this virus is, to certain people, especially those with underlying health concerns.
These are the people who will continue to ignore all advice. I have previously stated on here that people where I work have said that they won’t self isolate, because they cannot afford to lose the equivalent of almost half a month’s wage.
I understand their concerns, but their actions will not slow down the spread of the virus, no matter what restrictions the government bring in.

I might be wrong but I thought that they first had to create a vaccine, then run trials, then run extended trials, checking for the various side effects and effectiveness and that the best hope was that they might have something ready in about 12 months.

Right so there is talk of the Bundesliga cutting the season short and having no champion or relegation. The promoted teams from B.2 would just form a larger league next season.

Imagine if we did that over here and Liverpool still didn't win the league!!

Ultimately it will be down the players rather than supporters, can't be long before they're refusing to play and whole teams will be isolating anyway.

I always thought L'pools slender lead wouldn't be enough. But, don't be too down, because there is a saying in Liverpool, and it goes like this.
'Next year will be our year......mark my words!'
    <laugh>
They must be spazzin right about now.

How do you even approach that? You can't give them the title and then not do promotion/relegation, and those are far too close to judge. Be interesting to see that side of it plays out.

More gutted that football won't be coming home though :(

Hopefully the derby result will remain intact regardless as that competition has concluded.

Can you imagine the lawsuits if they said; 'null and void.'
    It would never end.

I'd happily sacrifice the pompey result if it meant liverpool didn't win the league.

Espescially if they did it one way but not the other. Ie Liverpool being awarded the league but Wba and Leeds being told 'unlucky'.

They cannot award Liverpool the title without relegating the current bottom three.
It actually is easier to void the season. They will be desperate to get the games played, even if its in the summer. But if some clubs don't play ball (pardon the expression) then there could be some real difficulties. This is crazy.

I think Summer is what they'll aim for with the Euros binned off. Can't see anyway how that can take place across twelve cities.

If the games have not been completed by August, then it is classed as an abandonment. You cannot award a title while relegation places are not mathematically settled. They obviously will consider it thiers, but the records will not.
