@Flash Gordon I'm assuming your username is in relation to Josh 'Flash' Gordon? Seeing as you're a Browns fan as well...
That's just coincidence. I first joined over the road to defend what I thought was some ridiculous criticism of Craig Gordon many years ago. I just kept the name when I joined this place. I didn't really nail my colours to the mast on the Browns until their 1-15 season in the middle of the Gordon madness.
Will be interesting to see how it progresses. A semi competent back up will be needed just in case. How is the o-line looking?
No upgrades yet so still very weak, 100% needs addressing. Picked up a decent player from Chargers yesterday though for the secondary, Adrian Phillips, Safety.
Seems a bit pointless to me. The Falcons are one of the most pointless teams in the league at the minute in my opinion. Not good enough to make the playoffs, too good to tank and rebuild.
As I said, the more I read the more I like. This is a snip from NFL.com below... Patriots beat reporters who watched Stidham in camp believed he performed better as a rookie than Garoppolo or Brissett ever did. Stidham had the best preseason stats of any rookie in the Belichick era and the Patriots were confident enough in him to release veteran Brian Hoyer before the season, making Stidham the backup.
I'll be so pissed off at the end of this season when the Patriots with Stidham starting, go 12-4 and get a bye in the playoffs.
Saints getting better as Emmanuel Sanders is on his way. Good signing plus a decent sized hole for 49ers to now fill.
Lol and the truck just keeps on rolling Seriously though I expect Pats to fall back a little for a year or 2 while BB rebuilds the offence. It really is piss poor and if we struggled with Brady under centre then we will with anybody atm.
Was just coming on to say the same thing Sid! Gotta be quick to beat you mate Very good signing for Saints though. Strongest team in NFC now...?
What do you guys think of Melvin Gordons move to Broncos? Apparently turned down more money so he could face Chargers more often.
Difficult to argue against them really. Mind there's something about Peyton that gets on my nerves for some reason so I can't say that I've shed many tears at their recent last gasp failures. Hope to see the 49ers doing well again as have a soft spot for them after enjoying watching them during the Montana and Young years. They'll need to recruit well again in order to challenge the Saints. Will be also interesting to see whether the Packers can also kick on again and build upon last season. They'll need to make big immediate strides while they've still got Rodgers. Last but not least, big respect also for Pete Carroll and the stellar job he keeps doing at the Seahawks.
I've thought the Saints have been the strongest NFC team for a couple of years now, but they never seem to get it done (though the championship game with the Rams was particularly harsh).
Don't pay much attention to the Broncos to be honest, but I thought Phillip Lindsay was doing a good job there so seems a little bizarre. Not a surprise from Gordon though, he's got real animosity to the chargers for not giving him that big deal. It seems a bit petty though as I can't see the Broncos in the playoffs anytime soon so he's sacrificed money and glory in favour of spite.
