Poor guy, having to deal with idiocy of that magnitude and maintaining a professional attitude. People like her literally need locking up. As a doctor I saw said, I think on the BBC website, Covid-19 is so contagious that each person in contact with it could infect, on average, 3 new people. Then they each infect another 3 new people. By the time you get to the 4th layer of infection around 20,000 people are infected. Go figure.
Just a quickie does any one know what the 80% wage from goverment is based on. Is it basic wage or average wage? Or something different.
That's certifiable. Can this person be sectioned for such unhinged behaviour? Should removed for the public good. What action can be taken under current legislation?
Thanks all, I'm not too bad, but the shortness of breath is definitely real. That lady on the radio is unbelievable. How can people be so selfish?
Just hearing on the news that Spanish armed forces have entered several care homes and found dead residents who had been abandoned. Not yet sure how many homes are affected. Shocking.
That's what i was hoping, my basic contract is for 40 hours a week but I always work 45-50 hours so would make a bit of a difference.
Clearly it’s not just some of the young and fit, not giving a damn about catching this virus and passing it on. If you deliberately infect someone with HIV, it’s considered a criminal act, I believe. Perhaps the same rule could be applied here. Difficult to prove but it would be great to see these selfish, uncaring bastards get locked up for a while.
I was thinking along those lines, something in here http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/129/contents/made ?
Would never stand up, most wudnt even know they had the virus in the first place. Plus how can you prove who gave it to you.
Hopefully it will be the higher of the two, and as it is the government paying, and not the company, no reason why they should be difficult about it. I need to find out more about this. I work in the food supply chain, so I will be expected to continue working. BUT my wife is one of the many advised by the NHS to self isolate, for 12 weeks, which she is doing. Effectively, I am her only risk of catching this virus, and as such I would like to self isolate with her, but I don’t know if I would receive financial support. If not I have to continue working and putting my wife’s life at risk. I have been off for two rest days, so will have to find someone to talk to, about this, but fear that nobody at my workplace will know the answer. Difficult times.
This is mother Nature sending us a warning. If we don't heed it, and stop raping the planet, there'll be far worse things than Coronavirus to worry about imo. We all need to change the way we live.
Looking for a marker to write a slogan on my high viz slip on. IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU ARE TOO ****ING CLOSE
