you need to learn to anticipate her emotional needs. You need to understand that although she said one thing she clearly meant another.

You need to appreciate that smashing your credit cards on needless sh*t is Just a way of dealing with her inner angst... all of which is caused by you.

You need to understand that hair appointments and shopping for needless sh*t is more tiring than working like a dog so you should feed/bath/put the kids to bed while she recovers with chocolate and a good book.

you need to accept that you are a lousy husband - after all her friends (unemployed) husband will have done loads of diy and you still haven’t put up the new shelves she ordered on amazon to store her latest tat on... or cleared out the garage of last years tat she has now replaced

if you can’t accept your incompetence and laziness... and learn to grasp these fundamental marriage survival tactics, then it’s hard to be sympathetic.

as they say, life’s a bitch and then you marry one

At least that’s how it is for some people. My wife’s lovely

with an impeccable sense of comic timing she has literally just mentioned she’s spunked a few hundred quid on assorted **** for the garden... don't know how we’d survive lockdown without those extra plant pots.

Good to see that discussion we had on keeping a tight rein on finances in these troubled times was taken onboard and she’s sticking to essentials <laugh><laugh>.

    Ya gotta love ‘em

Are we doing a good job of taking the thread off topic? Seems an appropriate thing to do in honour of the subject matter.

Just read that Johan Cruyff didn't feature in the 1978 World Cup do to his wife and kids being kidnapped just before the Dutch squad was announced. They were returned unharmed but he was told if he played in Argentina it would happen again and they would be killed.

Apparently this only came to light after he'd retired from all football related activities some 25 years later.

Only saving grace is that you might be spending a lot of the spring in the house and garden. But I know our website and contact centre are absolutely swamped with people really worried about money.

    Me too.

Has anyone else been growing their nasal hair to protect against the corona virus ?

Working on the eye lashes as well but not much joy...I'll give OLOF a call for some falsies I think.
