I hope his flag can be found a permanent place at The Valley

Thinking of you on this very sad day.

Often at an away game I would see the great man with one of these in his hand.

    Cheers Seb.

There is a plan for a statue of Seb?

I'm not against such a tribute as such, but I hope it will also be dedicated to every Charlton fan who loses his/her life during this crisis.
It's terrible to contemplate, but we will possibly lose dozens, maybe even hundreds of people from our football family.
Most will probably be older folk.

They will all deserve to be remembered forever, which a monument to Seb could make possible.

Seb Lewis wasn’t just any fan.

1076 consecutive games home and away takes an incredible amount of dedication and organisation, as well as financial commitment.

Just think back to the times we have struggled to take 400 up North in the winter - Seb was always one of them.

Now is not the time to compare him to other fans, because he clearly wasn’t like other fans. The club should give his memorial the full treatment when football gets up and running. If QPR is still the first home game back, then his pic on the big screen and a standing ovation. .....just for starters.

I agree with everything you posted.

I just wouldn't want to give the impression that remembering other supporters somehow doesn't matter as much as remembering Seb.
He deserves always to be respected for the depth and fervour of his support for CAFC.
But (I'm going to assume) there was no sense of superiority about the man himself. If you'd asked him, he would not consider himself to be a 'better' Charlton fan than the fellow supporters who sat with him at the Valley, or travelled with him to away games.

A big screen tribute to Seb and applause are the least we can do. A permanent memorial to him is wholly appropriate, as it is appropriate for PC Keith Palmer.
Let's just take the opportunity also to remember every Charlton fan who will have lost their life by the time the team plays again.

Who knows, the lives lost by then might include players, ex-players or present/past staff members or directors.

There's a lovely full-page spread for Seb in The Sun.

He touched many a heart did our Superfan.
