Small Ltd Company Directors to get Government support like the Employed and Self Employed

    91,386 have signed. Let’s get to 150,000!

Amanda Evans started this petition to UK Parliament

There are many many small businesses in the UK who own and operate under a Limited Company. They may earn dividends from their company - which are from all profits already taxed at 19%. But the dividends are taxed by a further 7.5% (or 32.5%) in the self assessment. It looks like these individuals are being excluded from Government help:

“The targeting of it has to be really carefully put together because otherwise there are people who may count themselves and declare themselves as self-employed but are actually getting their income off their dividends of a company.

“So if you don’t do something that is really laser-like targeted then you could end up giving a massive subsidy to some people who don’t actually need it".

If you fall in this category or know people in this category who will not get the support they need during the Coronavirus shutdown - please sign this petition!

When we eventually get back to business, they'll still have to pay their taxes to help recover from this dire situation. Yet they may get nothing when they need it most!

We must also protect these small business owners! They should also be entitled to 80% of their filed average earnings, including dividends which are already taxed! (up to £2500 like the employed and self employed).

    Many thanks

    Can you sign?

Press ups - lots of ways of varying them for targeting/making easier

Lunges - brilliant all over leg exercise

    Dips - on a chair or 2

‘Plank’ - static exercise for core strength, lots of variation

Lateral/forward raises with aforementioned paint cans.

    Crunches- form of sit ups

All over body workout, easy to do, couple of chairs, couple of cans of paint. I can help you further if you want. Just putting it out there.

Always amazes me how many old timers still do sit ups.....probably the best way to **** your back up that has ever been invented.
Crunches are so much safer and so much better for the abs

My dad loved a straight legged sit up. He’s converted now. You’re right, technique is important with every exercise, both in terms of progress and safety.

Got myself a weighted vest just to make my mediocre home workouts a bit more effective as well as walking the dog.

Got a bench too and a couple of 15kg dumbbells which will keep me ticking over. Need to step it up though from Monday.

    In short....

In January 2020, the UK govt on advice from public health, classified covid19 as a high consequence infectious disease.

    Definition of HCID
In the UK, a high consequence infectious disease (HCID) is defined according to the following criteria:

    • acute infectious disease
    • typically has a high case-fatality rate
    • may not have effective prophylaxis or treatment
    • often difficult to recognise and detect rapidly
    • ability to spread in the community and within healthcare settings
    • requires an enhanced individual, population and system response to ensure it is managed effectively, efficiently and safely

On 19th March 2020, the day before Johnson announces lockdown and legislation is passed to enable emergency powers, Covid19 was reclassified as no longer an HCID. It is no longer considered to be the above criteria.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t time during the 24/7 media covid news to mention it.

Cheers. I do the basic HiT or whatever it is daily, Including some lunges plus some press ups. I don’t want to give the impression that I’m a health fanatic. Just had a bit of a scare about 4 years ago which made me take a few things a bit more seriously. Diet mainly. I think I’m overdoing it now to be honest on account of the distancing.

I replied to the HCID post by the way. It’s odd, to say the least.

You did, I meant to get back to you. I’ll revisit your reply and do so.

Benefits of resistance training go beyond muscle strength. You’ll increase bone strength and density, joint strength (not watford’s type) and you’ll increase your metabolism.

Additionally, you can join tEd’S hooligan army and crush opponents with ease.

Jesus Christ Finglas, that rate per million is way higher than Italy and Spain, and the UK is 15 per million.

Not too sure where you're getting your figures from stan? I'm getting mine from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries.

According to them, Italy have 1,529 cases per million inhabitants and Spain has 1,545. Luxembourg has 2,925 cases per million inhabitants and China only 57 cases per million inhabitants.

The death rate per million inhabitants shows up some fascinating figures. Ireland has 7 deaths per million inhabitants, UK has 15 deaths pm, Italy has 166 deaths pm, Spain has 124 deaths pm,

Sorry, I misread your cases per million as deaths per million.

Stand by your beds, as you were.

That site is the go to place for data, but it’s limited to what governments release. For weeks the ‘recovered’ number for the UK has been 135, and the number ‘critical’ 20, despite actual deaths being many times that.
