I've been getting into the PS4 a bit again after not being arsed much in recent years, something to do innit. The kids keep us busy which is both a blessing and a curse, tough keeping them happy when you're stuck in the house.
I'm doing fine because I've put a few things off for a while. I'm finally learning to play my mandolin and doing work on my half finished novel. But I'm lucky to be isolated and surrounded by fabulous mountains with totally deserted walks ... ... plus we have a pool and tennis court which is just sheer good fortune
Aye I’ve been playing a bit Xbox but you can only do so long at at time. I downloaded a Nike fitness app been doing bits off that, was already in reasonable shape but **** me I was sore this morning. I guess that’s a positive, ha.
Sounds like my kinda lockdown that mate, and you’ve got your good lady there. Should have at least planned ahead and got stuck in the same house
Yeah exercise is the key to getting through this, I'd go stir crazy without it. I'm in the garage now doing body weight stuff. I know what you mean about gaming plus it takes some of the enjoyment away for me when my four year old girl keeps on standing in front of the screen saying "you can't see now daddy!" yeah that's right you little bugger haha
Very true mate, it makes people feel happier about themselves. That's the reason chemists only allow depressed people to buy one box of Paracetamol ... ... by the time you've walked all the way to the next chemist you'd be feeling a bit happier
Try to walk 3 miles a day It’s great once I’ve got of my arse and went out Just hope the rain keeps away Came back today after over 3 miles (a bit knackered) Wish me back would be ok and it would help me walk However there is some unlucky people unable to do that Small mercies
It's like hitting the reset button for me, it doesn't matter what mood I'm in or how stressed I am by the time I've finished I'm always chilled out and drained physically. It's especially important in the absence of being able to live a normal life for months.
Not allowed to go for walks here which I really miss. I live about 800 meters from my local port and beaches, unless it's really hot I'd walk to the port usually 4 times a week and then walk for about an hour along the beach then turn back. Now the beaches are roped off and the Police patrol along the port and beach. I agree with the lockdown but it's driving me up the wall staying in everyday except to drive to the local shop at most twice a week. Amazing how you miss the smallest of things when deprived of them but it'll be worth it in the long run.
Atm usually drag the grandkids out for a couple of miles, up and around the hill nearby. I reckon the farmer who was ploughing/seeding the other day has some sort of automatic bird scarer going that sounds a little like a shotgun..Still quite cold and windy at the top of the hill.
The climate change issue has gone from the driving force to taking a back seat ... ... but when all of this has subsided, will all of these endless flights start up again? Seriously, do twenty blokes really have to fly to Barcelona because a mate is getting married? Does Emma Thompson have to fly back from America for a climate change protest? Do a bunch of shyte 'celebrities' need to fly to the jungle to eat worms or drive a Nissan Micra through the Amazon? Does Harry really have to fly all over the world bleating on about whatever it is he bleats on about? Personally I'd be happy if the airline industry collapsed and I live in France. I get so tired of seeing hordes of businessmen jetting off to meetings they could actually do on Skype. Not to mention plane loads of tourists flying off to somewhere they couldn't find on a map if it would save their life. If there were no more flights, ever, people would adapt and viruses wouldn't flash around the entire world in days.
It's not as if flying via a airline for holiday/ work is a pleasant thing to do. I disliked it intensely. My brother lives and works in NYC (locked down atm) and he has a 100,000 + frequent flyer perks (load of bollocks mind) and it is awful for him. I obviously use cheap airlines a couple of time a year for golf, or every couple of years to NYC. The delays the hold ups, the plane/pilot in wrong place, drives me nuts. We have not taken grandkids on a plane holiday yet cos we are still traumatised by the time we were stuck in Portugal with their dad and sister (under 10) for 18 hours waiting for a flight home. It's not that I mind flying, as I have in the past enjoyed flying little 2 or 4 seaters, single props around the north if england. Maybe it's because there is so much competition and flights are cheapish that makes it an ordeal...
See the death toll has come down fir the 2nd day in a row as of yesterday Yet infections soared to owa 20k Now from today there releasing all death figures not just those in hospitals From this dreaded disease 2020 will gan down as one awful bloody year
Jack Grealish has just perfectly demonstrated why this season is finished. Out all night getting ****faced with his mates, sleeping all day and looking shot to pieces. If they attempt to restart this season it'll be a shambles and people will regret wishing for it imo. This video is the perfect example of a thick as pigshit young English football player ... ... almost as embarrassing as crashing his car https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Act...t-en-ne-respectant-pas-le-confinement/1123685
Been to graft & my daily exercise & shopping local polis patrol passed me 2 times Ignorant bastards never stopped to ask if I was ok Mind don't kna what it is every time I see a polis van or car I practically **** meself
