No, it really isn’t. If the current season can be finished at some point in the next few months, then that’s what all barring maybe a couple of relegation certainties would want to happen. However, to pretend that finishing this season takes precedent over any future footballing seasons, irrespective of the timescale involved between it ceasing and restarting, and the impact of completion on future tournaments, is purely agenda driven.
Yeah, exactly, because there's a crisis going on and it's not going to wrap itself up in time for 8th August
What's sad is you crying over the start date of the season after the season after this one. Get a grip on reality.
They keep desperately throwing money into the equation for finishing this season, can you imagine the chaos if they get their way? Sky/BT, we wan't to bid on next season League, lets talk Sky/BT, when is it going to run from and to, we need to arrange our schedules No idea yet, depends on Liverpool Sky/BT what about the season after, it is a 3 year contract after all League, no idea. Sky/BT, we are just nipping out for a chat with some other sports wil call you though
So when will next season end? only asking because the TV companies want to know when they can show the season after.
The Euros are scheduled and then immediately after it’s the Olympics, there can’t be overlap due to both the demands of sponsors and TV. The Olympics in 2021 don’t finish until August 8th, so you’d want to see another season with a 3 month pause, together with the next one being pushed further back. Yeah sounds boss.
Inside Diego's mind: Sky in July: "Oh yeah don't worry about all that money we gave you for a season you didn't bother to complete, we're all in this together, tough times isn't it?" Sky in August: "TELL US THE START AND END DATE RIGHT NOW OR WE WALK FOREVER MOTHERFUCKERS"
Guy stuck in his house for 3 months on doctor's orders because of a worldwide health crisis, but more #worried there might be a 3 month pause in the footy schedule.
What? If you had no reasoned comeback to my post, it’d have been better to post **** all, instead of that patronising and completely irrelevant bollocks lad.
They will be asking for money back and will get it. Make no mistake, the league need Sky/BT more than they need the league. You tell the TV companies that you are going to run the league from November through to the end of August and they start to think about the amount of people going on holiday in June, July and August. The viewing figures dictate their profits from advertising and this would not go down well. Do you remember whinging about games times and dates being dictated by TV companies? there is a reason they are able to do this.
That's because money talks. Like it or not, football it's more about money than anything else nowadays.
