To be honest 1.4.. I am not fussed anymore .

Only concern is that if we go down , we are stuffed . Read that players wages account for 77% of clubs spend..Madness .

Feel for the Real fans , but like most clubs , they are not even on the radar these days .

In which case a price has been agreed or, at least, a formula for determining the price has been agreed.

The papers were said to be sent 8 days ago!!!!!!!, but i would suggest they're busy.

    Premier League notification
This is the stage it's being claimed we've arrived at.

A new rule introduced in 2009 stated that the Premier League must be informed TEN working days before the takeover is completed.

Surely then the owners have passed the proper and fit test then?

not yet, but if it gets that far it sounds like it wont be an issue

Richard Scuadmore, then Premier League chief executive, said: “Anyone looking to become an owner or director of a club would have to let us know in advance and we would given them an answer at the time of the proposed takeover whether they can or can’t”.

Is it significant? It depends how serious. The Premier League are notified at a very early stage of any buy out and put on alert that work may need to be done - but often this is just preliminary communication and it could be that just the buying side has made contact.
Indeed the Premier League are always notified when there is a possibility of a change of ownership and it's understood that in the summer, they were briefed regularly by United and the possible buyers about the state of play with the Bin Zayed Group (which eventually turned into nothing).

Behind-the-scenes, top flight officials will be looking at what a possible Saudi entry into the Premier League would mean and how they would deal with the potential fall-out of one of the most powerful but controversial regimes in the world powering one of the biggest clubs in their competition. But with the coronavirus pandemic causing existential problems for the Premier League, there could be delays in how long it would take to work through the paperwork while decisions are made on how to finish the season.

Well you said that that stage is 10 days before completion that would mean it's done and dusted and we have new owners?

if its at that stage its simply a matter of time... a done deal and the proper persons test not an issue

personally I find it far more likely to be the latter stages than to be preliminary contact with the prem given they've been in talks over a year.<diva>

I'm convinced come next season we will have new owners unless something surrounding the human rights issues stops it.

It's not generally the legal side of things that a house sale falls through though. Usually it's one party on either side of the deal is a complete cockwomble and gets greedy...

Luckily we don't have anyone like that at our club do we? <laugh>

or the entire chain breaks down and has nothing to do with the buyer or seller.. I'm simply highlighting the reality that myself and most people probably cannot comprehend the politics and issues with selling the club..
