3 out of how many? And of those 3, who knows if they had underlying health issues that weren't known due to age etc..

I wonder how herd immunity will go down in India? They can't all go into lock down at home as loads of people don't even have one and those that do find that they're full already. Ah wash your hands regularly they say, if only we had water came the reply.
The virus is either going to kill loads in the underdeveloped world or be shown up to be not as serious as the western worlds media is pointing out.

In our society, a politician can not be seen to have a "**** happens" attitude to thousands of deaths, however they happen. So we take measures, whether these measures are effective or justified is not the point, we have to be seen to be doing something.

I saw a documentary a few years ago where a team of UK eye specialist went to India for a few weeks and were aboard a specially prepared train which was equipt to do Cataract operations. It went around various isolated areas, where hospitals were not in easy reach and did a vast amount of operation in a short space of time.

The amazing thing that they all said after the trip was that they were amazed how little post-operation infection there was compared to UK. This was purely down to the local's immune system being more effective in dealing with an infection. It could be that they will survive better than us sanitised westerners.

Yes, that is horrific and the most awful experience for the families concerned. But they are outlier figures from the general data set. A handful of children die from chicken pox every year, but we have never had a lock down because of it.

It wouldn't have been a '**** happens' attitude. Telling over 70s and the vulnerable to self isolate and diverting financial resources to support this, leaving the rest of the country to develop immunity to the levels that protect.

It's absurd that cyclists are being fined for cycling through parks whilst several hundred flights are landing each day and public transport is busy. The whole situation has gone collectively mad, we've all been sucked in and are paradoxically as a society demanding governments do 'more' whilst trapping ourselves long term.

My mother in law has an immune system illness and so is isolated at home alone, rightly, with food parcels left outside for the next 3 or so months. There is no point insisting that my 3 teenage children must also live like this. I know my opinion right now is not popular or agreed with, but I truly believe that in a decade or so time, we will look back and say what the **** were we thinking.

A volunteer worker delivering supplies to the elderly in a Thornton, Leicestershire had her car attacked and trashed whilst doing her rounds.

    Unbelievable.

It's a sign of underlying social issues that have not be resolved. The west has spent decades denigrating the family, reducing the father's responsibility, taking away the pride and rights of blue collar work, removing societal shame and the bonds that glue together a community. In times of crisis, the social problems are the result of it.

As I said in another post I can’t ever remember a time hospitals around the world have been swelled to breaking point, with makeshift wards and patients lying on the floor. And if you believe what the hospital bosses reporting from these countries the majority of patients in hospital are not in these vulnerable groups despite the majority of deaths being so.

It would be a fine thing for governments all over the world to collaborate like this and get hospital workers in on such an elaborate ruse. To suit what agenda? So they can put 5G masts up?

I read that as viruses mutate they nearly always become less severe with each mutation. The virus doesn’t want to kill its hosts it wants to spread.

So what is the current plan being enacted out here and with you in the UK.. Several million office workers and middle managers work from home, moaning about childcare and that they've completed Netflix, whilst the lowest paid and essential workers are out on the front line, expected to suck up the illness, whilst suffering the most from the fall out of the economic crunch. I think we're being played via collective madness.

A woman arrested by police for breaking a new coronavirus law has been fined £650 by magistrates.

According to police, Marie Dinou, 41, refused to explain to officers her reason for essential travel when they found her on a platform at Newcastle railway station.

She was arrested for breaching the new Coronavirus Act and ticket fraud and appeared in court two days later, where she pleaded guilty to both offences.

Dinou, from York, was fined £85 for ticket fraud, but £650 for breaking the new COVID-19 regulations on leaving home without reasonable excuse. She was also ordered to pay £80 costs, by North Tyneside Magistrates.
