I'm a big Bonjovi fan, and had booked a week in the USA in July and tickets to 2 concerts.
Don't know whether you know but it's the norm with the Corona virus to postpone all concerts, flights etc and offer credits instead of refunds.
Well Bonjovi have totally cancelled there concerts despite them intending to tour after this ****s over, the reason being with cancelled gigs they have to give refunds instead of credits, this will cost the group a lot of money, but they are already rich and don't need the money like many fans do, and so they cancelled to look after their fans :emoticon-0137-clapp bravo John and the group, breath of fresh air. I also had a ticket for Simple Minds last weekend in Leeds, they rebooked for 10 months time and refused refunds. <grr>

Probably not the bands fault, was maybe their management however tight fisted jocks does spring to mind!
    Fair play to BonJovi.

Also had simple minds tickets for 3 arena. Won’t be using replacement tickets in ten months either as have no intention of sitting or standing in a crowd for a long long time. That was a bitch losing out on thr bonjovi gig, all big fans in our house. Who were you flying with Chesh? Are flight refunds likely or vouchers

We had flights booked to Cyprus with BA in May. If we cancelled we’d have lost our money so we had to wait for them. They did the usual, make it easy to apply for a voucher on line but no refund. I’d tried calling loads of times, the line was so busy I never even made a queue just got told to call back.

Anyway, I tried calling them at 21:50 just to see, I went into a queue and was speaking to someone within 5 minutes, gave my flight number and straight away the operator said would you like a full refund.

The daughter and her family were on the same flight, I told her what had happened so she tried the same that evening and she too got straight through and was offered a refund without requesting.

United Airlines m8,they have already cancelled the flights, not bothered to tell me and will be vouchers, although I do have insurance so may be able to get a refund that way.

My insurance has a clause that covers me if car breaks down on way to airport so might have to organise a breakdown <whistle>

Saw Bon Jovi first time they came to the uk before they were popular first album not since. Supported Kiss I seem to remember weren't bad.
Phil x who is in the band is pretty good on his own.

Saw Bon Jovi at the Stockholm Globen in 2000. Didn't bother with the support. Beer more important. Band called Toploader, who I believe went on to be a popular beat combo. Serves me right. :)

As for refunds, vouchers etc., I believe that all airlines are obliged to pay you a cash refund if you request it. Legally. One other thing that escapes people with vouchers is that they almost always come with a 'sell by' date - i.e. the norm is that your voucher is only valid for 12 months.

As for tickets for a show being moved, there is usually an option of a refund, but often you have to ask. Changing the terms of the contract by changing the dates makes it an arguable point, in law. If you paid more than £100 & used a credit card, then you can claim from your bank, as they share joint liability for transactions of £100+.

Ryanair offering cash refund as an option but only when the coronavirus thing is finished. So that could be a long wait. Their vouchers only have a 12 month use by date so also useless

MoneySavingExpert has already reported Ryanair to the CAA & Trading Standards.

    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/n...omers-sent-vouchers-after-requesting-refunds/

Surely can't be a surprise to anyone that they're ducking & diving round the law.
