The are a bunch of twats who seem obsessed with wanting the government to fail. Clowns like Morgan cry like babies when Ministers refuse to go on their show to be shouted at. Seems the public are now starting to see the ****ness of the coverage.
The government have had a very difficult job to do in dealing with an unprecedented situation. That said though, the day the media and people stop asking questions about whether we are doing the best we can, or highlighting mistakes so that they are not repeated, then we are all in trouble. Being held to account is one of the most important aspects of the political setup in this country, and an aspect that has been repeatedly weakened in recent times.
Completely agree. Media has been very poor at times, failing to take the government to task far more they should have. Our illustrious leader seems to have gone into hiding, when leadership is required up front. Whilst Piers Morgan may not be everyone's cup of tea, he asks the questions that people want answered. FFS they won't even talk to Susanna Reid, the cowards. It's telling of the BBC, that they've kept Andew Neil on the sidelines throughout. Really being played like a fiddle by Johnson and co. So, yes, it has been poor.
agreed. It’s the rabid way some of these ****s go about it which makes me sick. Any government will make mistakes. This is to be expected. I don’t bother with the News as it’s the same old aggressive **** now. I’m not a Tory either but Sky were outed for having a momentum activist appear in an interview (unbeknown to them) to slag off Boris. Same with the BBC who seem to pack question time with beelin Leftie remoaners.
they listened to the experts. What’s the other option... ignore the experts and go off what people on Twitter say? Copy another country for no detailed reasons? Get out a Ouija board and ask Derek Acorah? Velvet bag with possible actions written on folded paper? there’s so many people who are suddenly experts in virology it’s Amazing.
It's probably a sign that they are actually being quite balanced that you feel this way and that I feel that they have been avoiding difficult questions to the right for too long. If they are being balanced we will all feel that the other side is getting too much say because we notice things we disagree with far more than we notice things we agree with. When you compare us to the States, and the way their coverage has become nothing more than propoganda, then news coverage here is still very fair. Fox is by far the most blatant and worst in the US, but MSNBC and CNN are catching up on the opposite side of the political spectrum.
erm stop letting people in and out the country when it became apparent there was a killer disease floating about overseas
Yep. Any government would fail in these circumstances. The German government in some quarters are failures for unlocking things too soon.
I amended this as instead of news auto correct wrote Jews originally. For clarity I’m not a Labour voter now either
I would make a comment about autocorrect picking up words you usually write, but the other day autocorrect managed to accidentally insert the word pervert instead of prevalent in a text to my mum!
There is questioning and then there is click baiting. Sadly, for me to many in the media including the BBC are chasing the clicks as opposed to trying objectively to fairly question the Government’s actions in what you quite rightly state is an unprecedented situation. People are going to make mistakes but don’t slaughter them just because they have otherwise you risk people not wanting to make any decisions for fear of being publicly pilloried. If the media position has been weakened in recent years then they are primarily responsible for this due to the lack of proper investigative journalism and the easier, simpler click baiting approach that has been adopted since the emergence of the internet and social media.
