I watched a youtube upload of the Geoff Floyd murder - and make no mistake, that was murder - all 8-9 minutes of it from cuffed and being walked to car to being loaded into the ambulance. Outrageous. Not being funny, the situation has been grim and enabled since the orange douchebag got in, and it has declined since. They've put in two wholly unqualified and unsuitable ultra conservatives on to the SCotUS: (Gorsuch and Kavanaugh); they're desperate for Justice Bader-Ginsburg to die or be incapacitated enough to retire; they're flooding the federal courts with right wing, science denying, women hating, homophobic/transphobic, judges; and you can bet your bottom dollar trump has the pardons written up and signed already, just waiting for a date stamp.

This is a fascist coup d'état in operation, no less.

And the Tories here are little better - they seem to want the UK to be the 51st US state..

I see Trump has locked himself away in a White House bunker - I hope someone sees sense and seals the doors.

Why do football clubs lead the way when the politicians cannot bring themselves to speak the truth?

The Americans sneeze, we catch a cold. This government sees what IQ45™ gets away with and tries it on here. It's the primary reason I despise de piffle and his cronies because I follow US politics reasonably closely and have long known their cabinet for what they are. And like us they have an opposition in relative disarray, determined to shoot themselves in the foot. Like us they have a criminally biased media. Fortunately we don't have too many religious nutjobs in high government.

Morning all. A warm and sunny start to the day with a temperature of 29°C expected later. The roadmen didn't turn up yesterday at all, that as I realised late morning was not a surprise at it was a public holiday. You wouldn't know the difference unless you have to go to work. So would they turn up today was the question. So far not a sound. There is not even the sound of a breeze rustling the leaves on the trees. The wind turbines about 5 miles away have not turned for several days now, but seeing as we are in one of the least windy spots in the whole country you have to wonder why they are there at all. Have a good day whatever you must do. <ok>

There is no justification for the riots in the US and there certainly is not any reason for the idiots to be protesting on the streets of the UK.

I had a good friend beaten to death in the Watford police station back in the late 60s. The culprits were never charged. This incident did not make it correct to shoot police officers or smash windows and steal stock from Watford High street shops. There is no justification for further violence and damage.

Nice to see some clouds for a change, wall to wall sunshine was getting a bit boring plus the gardens are desperate for some rain.

Morning all. Bright and warm currently, but the météo suggest that there could be thunderstorms later in the day. Still no sign of the road gang returning, so peace is still ongoing. Need to do some shopping as the wine store is looking a bit thin at present. I won a bottle of Spanish red in a raffle and thought I had better drink it rather than it continuing to take up space. Big mistake; totally dreadful. I would not even use it to cook with. It might make a good drain cleaner I suppose. Have a good day whatever you are doing. <ok>

Rained here all day yesterday, is raining now - and is tipped to keep raining for the rest of the week. Even our dog doesn't want to go out...

Has anyone heard from Dave - or Andy for that matter?

Good answer Dave - hope you are well, or as well as be can be expected in the circumstances.
