I haven’t quite understood what you get with the mags, do they own anything apart from being in the prem?
They have really poor facilities but on an incredibly valuable piece of land. That would be seen as an asset even with the need for development. Overall though, as a club as it stands, if you take leave standing out of it we have a lot more going in theory. It’s all about them lions on the sleeves though. I’d love to see the O’Briens get involved their interest has been sustained and constant, and they fully know the basket case situation and potential of the club.
If I recall correctly was not O'Brien Waste recycling sold for £35m? A few years back? Again it was a few years back I think a wandered around a place of theirs looking for something to go in our garden?
Aye amongst other things. I assume they’d be part of a group if they were involved. No idea where the link has come from other than them always being in the background.
Aye Biffa bought them 3/4 years back now. Can’t help but feel optimistic that this involves the Americans
Maybe this possible takeover has a chance if it's all kept low profile unlike the last FPP takeover attempt.
I posted a tongue in cheek thread on the other side hoping for Jeff Bezos There's a few on there don't want him cos they don't like him ffs Some moaning about Micky Gray. But surely the more interested the more we get highlighted and others may look. Who knows, maybe it would prompt FPP to jump in.
The club don't own the land and they never will...... That's why they are limited to what they can develop and to what stage etc. Whereas we have a much better opportunity to develop with the land etc. The prices quoted for The Mags is crackers compared to ours. In my humble opinion anyway.
They don’t own the land of the stadium but I thought they owned the training ground and golf club land, as was part of the sporting club John Hall wanted when he first took over. I fully agree that the price is crazy given the work required but then you’re on a league that guarantees around £200million income a year from the FA alone, that makes any club in there appealing I guess. Flip that, buy us for £40million, spend £60million to get us up twice and £50 million to keep us there in first season, wallop you’ve got your money back and an asset worth 6-8 times what you paid. We are such a viable buy for a savvy businessman/group
