Just read the profile of Salisu and something that stood out is that he went from an academy in Ghana, to Valladolid’s youth team, in only six months. Having played no official games. He had one training session in Spain and they were convinced. Then he only played 10 games for their youth team before being moved up a level. 30 games later he was in the first team and shutting out A. Madrid. That’s staggering. Oh and apparently he’s really nice.
Of course he's nice. We only ever sign nice boys. I want us to sign some real mean bastards for once. We used to at one time.
Funny sort of Saint you are It’s possible to be both I give you Oriel and the New Improved Nice Bstard JWP
He's always reminded me as the Twitter version of tabloid gossip sections, which seem to be rumours plucked from thin air. Is he actually ITK these days?
He very often gets things wrong when it comes to Saints - just a couple of weeks back he had Hojbjerg to Everton as a "done deal" with personal terms agreed.
Today I am writing this letter to you, first of all to thank you all for your constant support from day one. I want to thank all my teammates, coaches and all the staff of this wonderful club. I also want to thank especially my coach, coach Sergio, who has given me the opportunity to play at LALIGA despite the little experience. He put his trust in me and I will always be grateful for every opportunity he gave me! Also to my teammates for pushing me and making me a better player and for trusting me from day one. Of course I also thank the president, Ronaldo. It's been a dream for me to play for someone who's achieved so much in football. I would also like to thank all the fans. You have been amazing to me and I am very grateful for all the love you have shown me. Thank you for the patience and encouragement! You've always pushed me to make my confidence high and you always made me feel so loved both on the field and on the field, now I've been presented with another chance and it's always been my dream to play in the Premier League. As I leave Valladolid to continue living my dreams, I go ahead with a grieving heart leaving this amazing club. I came here as a kid and I'm leaving as a man. I do it in the hope that you will always remember me as a good person and a true professional who happily gave everything for the shirt and this great club! When I leave and move on to my next challenge, I will always have you close to my heart and I hope that 1 day we will meet again knowing that we have all done great things. Thank you so much for everything! Aupa Pucela
