Wallace did well in the Forest game too.

Apart from our horrible defending, we weren't creating much even when we had the ball first half, except when we got BOS on the ball. Chair worries me. We are putting a lot of faith in him as the replacement for Eze, but he wasn't good enough today, and not great against Forest.

But Manning doesn't want to play for us....do you want to field a player who isn't committed on the off chance he might turn it on to show his new club what they will be getting?

Well, call me a romantic, daydreaming fool, with rose tinted spectacles nailed on to my bonce, but I reckon the dream of a top third of the bottom half finish is still on.

LIKE THE RELENTLESS HORDES OF GENGHIS KHAN WE WILL MARCH ON, ACHIEVING AN AVERAGE OF JUST OVER A POINT A GAME FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON! SPECTACULAR!!

    MIND THE GAP!

Warburton's philosophy seems to be we will outscore the opponents, all well and good if you have players that can create and score. Last season with Eze, Wells and Hugill we often outgunned the opposition with skill and creativity, now without those three we are exposed as powderpuff. Dykes is a presence without service and Chair seems a little out of his depth trying to fill Eze's boots. BOS hasn't really been on song for a while, Carroll is tidy but carries little threat, Amos is not the answer and frustrates with his attitude. If we don't bring in two or three loans/signings that will improve our creativity/goalscoring we will be going backwards...

Bit of a reality check for us tonight, and summed up where we are at present. Didn’t think we looked too bad 1st half, kept possession well and deserved the 1-0 lead but the nature of the mistakes seem to be a similar theme sadly.

Seems a nice lad as a person, but the Joe Lumley experiment in goal has to end I’m afraid. The defending for the 2nd goal was comical, not completely his fault at all but Jesus wept you can’t just stay on your line and stick your arms out, looked embarrassingly bad.

Osman Kakay is very raw and needs to be coached on his positioning. Luke Amos was non existent tonight, and Rob Dickie looks a bit off the pace at the minute.

Positives were Lyndon Dykes, and credit where it’s due for Barbet’s goal because it was a brilliant finish.

Can only hope our players get fitter, sharper and someone on the coaching staff have a good think about defending set pieces and how we set up from them because it’s not a matter of lack of height anymore. Needs to change.

Beauty of the Championship, the next game is never far away. Onwards.

I haven't seen Mannng being quoted stating he doesn't want to play for us. As a pro footballer, he obviously wants to play at a higher level for greater reward. We all want that sort of employment. I also believe he should sign a new contract with us so in the event that a P L. League team wants his services that we are suitably compensated with a large transfer fee. MW is trying to get the best for the club. I respect him for that. In the meantime as a fan, I want us to do as well as possible by playing our best 11. At the moment, we are not playing our best 11.

Feel a little for Walkace, commentary said he'd only played 16 games in 3 years.

Dam, even with 64% of the ball, we allow them to score three goals.
Very disappointing and the fact, as others have alluded to, our defense is obviously Swiss cheese.

The team lineup for the next game will tell if we are serious about addressing the defence issues.

He must have given them a great motivational team talk at half time. Just look at the effect it had!

Playing chair out of position, he’s not a winger & should play him more central & play Thomas on wing, lack of creativity was alarming last night, couldn’t see us losing that after going 1 up but my god how awful watching that once they equalised.

Or if not two up front, at least someone playing in a genuine 10 to link up play and give us forward options.

There’s something to worry in there. The whole conversation about MW not practising defending corner set pieces ... how awful were we last night at corners, until finally giving them the goal!? Oh ****!
