Not at all Col. Its all about the government asking the public to do one thing and then when it goes wrong not having the bollox to hold their hands up and admit they’ve got it wrong....instead trying to shift the blame onto others.
All the while pandering to their mates (like the field shooting ****s) who miraculously don’t have to adhere to ‘social distancing rules as they are exempt (weird that), and setting rules and regulations that are quite frankly a joke.
    ****ers

I agree on the testing, the shooting, the jobs for mates etc. The Government are very poor, but still stand by my last post.

I agree with both of you. On one hand the government have been absolutely disgraceful in their handling of this pretty much from the get go and their blame game is a bit rich.

But it should be possible to go to a restaurant or to a pub and be respectful of the social distancing rules. Gathering en mass outside pubs, House parties, raves and all this reckless **** that has gone on, that can't really be blamed on the government.

Apparently the Bolton lockdown is largely as a result of some cnut coming back off holiday and instead of self -isolating he went on a ****ing pub crawl. That sort of selfish **** boils my blood.

Even the saying 'unprecedented times' is becoming a bit tired now. This disease has been around for 9 or 10 months now.

No, I think that's a fair enough term Bob.
We're still learning all the time about this thing, especially the long covid that appears to be affecting many people.

Yeah I agree, I'm talking more about restrictions, testing, and the likes.

The most disturbing thing about this is that it's not shocking. This kind of corruption has become a commonplace with this government. It's not just the corrupt nature of the awarding of contracts, it's the inadequacy of the recipients.

I avoided commenting on the facts as provided by the Sunday Times, it speaks for itself. It is impossible to know whether things would be any different under a different government, but that shouldn’t be important. I think you are right, and they will get away with all this crap. At best we’ll have one of those endless and bewilderingly expensive public inquiries which will bore us into not caring. We should do away with those and go straight to criminal prosecution.

The endemic complicity within the chosen few will always override and cover the wrongs they perpetuate for their own self righteousness. It has (unfortunately) been that way all over the world for centuries. And there is nothing that can convince me that it will ever change (even more unfortunately). Corruption is so much more intertwined to succeed than honesty ever will be ( even more than more unfortunately).

Just saying...on Friday I went to the cinema.. I felt safe as there was hubbie and I at front and a single man
    29 rows back.

Afterwards we went to have a meal.

We were served by a waiter in a mask...and there was one other couple in the restaurant.
I feel Covid safe...but. I fear for the economy if Aylesbury is depending only on hubbie and my spending power to survive

I took my parents out today for a drive before we had Sunday dinner. Bournemouth was packed.....social distancing just doesn't exist.
I am concerned that there will be a second complete lock down. Whenever I go into shops I always wear disposable gloves, and try to touch only what I intend to purchase.
It sometimes feels that everyone has forgotten a lot of the basics to keep you safe. I am waiting to see how a friend of mine go on at the theatre on Friday, hopefully it was a Covid safe experience. I also have a couple of friends who's mental health has been affected by the last few months so trying to keep in touch with a call or text every 2 or 3 days. Maybe it is because of my age I am looking at the current situation than a twenty something.

Stay Safe everyone. Having seen the highlights of the Coventry game I think our defence took social distancing measures a step too far

Bloody hell, I just heard Graham Brady on the radio talking about Covid restrictions and found myself agreeing with him. Strange bedfellows indeed.

After the experience at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago, where it is believed a lot of virus spreading went on at the trial of horse racing with punters present, I would like to personally thank the ****wits who thought it would be a good idea to do the same again at Warwick Racecourse today, a couple of miles from my house and in a (until now) low COVID infection rate area. Cheers.

I am disgusted at how some people are disrespecting the guidelines. Over the weekend I went out twice in my car and both times I saw pubs full of people outside not social distancing or wearing masks. Yesterday in Oxford was worse. No wonder we don’t have enough tests when idiots disobey the rules and infect people. Not just me but family and friends and many on here have sacrificed so much and now some people with no regard for anyone other than themselves are ruining it.
I guess we can still blame the government though.

Of course we can. Random members of the public not adhering to the guidance doesn’t excuse the government, as much as you’ll pretend it does. Random members of the public aren’t in charge of our world-beating track and trace or privatised testing system failing or frittering away billions on contracts to their mates without competition who prove to be incapable of fulfilling them.
