Yeah totally. Was good to get a bit of interview rust out my system. Nailed the first round but lost out in the final two. It happens.

Not really. I’m in Food & Drink and have been for most of my relatively short career but would be very open to moving to another category entirely. The role was based in Stortford as it happens but I’d have been WFH or with customers most days.

I’m in a massive business now which has been great to work with some major brands and just learn best practice but think I’m ready for something either on my own or leading small team in smaller business with more of a start-up feel.

    Very best of luck!

I've always loved working in a business with physical products - always feel a greater connection

So far this year I've worked in oil & gas services and building products, and will be moving on to vehicle retailing next week, all in interim roles

I've had almost 20 years in food & drink manufacturing / retailing in permanent roles (as well as tyres / cleaning products / waste management)

Truly a jack of all trades and master of none!

Strange sight - City Inspectors, working through Soho, looking for illegal speakeasies open after the 10pm cutoff.

Yep, and when Trams asked me to stop I did. I don’t care what you,Woody or anyone posts, I was just looking for some respect for the mods. Sorry if it’s upset anyone, that wasn’t the intention.

And the welder must wear the bra and wet suit whilst playing the trumpet...

I have read that the new app will not upload positive or negative results from Covid tests done in NHS only in SERCO settings.

If that is actually true...that is a scandal of national status.
    If true..

I will try and verify during the day

So some restrictions up here in sunny Leeds. We cant mix with another household, either inside or the garden, by law.
We could meet them down the boozer for a few jars though, that's just strong advice.
I understand the necessity for restrictions (I think) but it's no coincidence that the infection rates are soaring just when schools and universities went back. My nieces are in classes of 30 in separate years, in a confined classroom, yet they cant see us in a garden?!?! I hope I dont offend anyone but these rules/laws/guidelines have been nothing short of pathetic and confusing at the best of times. My next prediction (after the schools one) is that the rates of infection will continue to rise whilst schools and universities and pubs stay open. Common sense and logic dictates that. Now obviously we cant/wont close these down as kids need an education and adults need alcohol.

If true then everyone responsible should be required to resign and the app should be withdrawn immediately. I'm happy to do my bit in the national interest but not to benefit either profiteering or monumental negligence by loyal party donors whose credentials for the job are already very much under scrutiny.

I wish they would stop using the term lockdown for the current restrictions in place in many areas. If you can still go to pubs, shops, cinemas and restaurants it isn't lockdown. Stop diluting the term.
