He admits it. He'd definitely take it, but he knows we wouldn't have him. He's done.

I'd be amazed if any Prem side were to pick him up to be honest, let alone us. Only way a club might take a punt is if he accepts a pay as you play deal because I doubt anyone's dumb enough to offer him a proper contract. Mind you, Ed Woodward does exist.

As if the Spurs physios don't have enough work.

Could always use him as a training experience for newly qualified physios I suppose. They couldn't f**k him up anymore than he already is.

He'll be off to the US of A as soon as they let him in. Or is their anything on his police record which could stop him gaining entry? <whistle>

Andros Townsend's on TalkShite breaking down Klopp and Guardiola's nonsense about five subs being important to player health.
It's a controversial subject, whatever your viewpoint, but he's pointed out an obvious fault in their narrative.
Their match on the weekend only involved three subs in total between the two teams and one of those was enforced due to injury.
Why do you want five subs, if you don't even use the three that you've got?

Perhaps the others weren't good enough. <whistle>

I agree with Pep and Klopp (sounds like a European "comedy" duo). The Baggies were much fresher on Sunday having not played Thursday. Son has worked his legs off in recent weeks and it showed on Sunday as one example.

    What controversy ??

    1. The reality is that the league + UEFA land + international fixtures are
being packed into a smaller time period this season.

Which by definition means that certain club have a squad count that
are more at risk of cumulative fatigue injuries.

    2. Correspondingly, said clubs have greater squad breadth/depth than
nearly all their PL peers, so they have a luxury that can be exploited
(squad rotation, sub usage etc) .

#2 gives the means to mitigate against #1 (except for internationals - on paper anyway) .
Well in the hands of a skilled manager anyway.

Our rivals in the European competitions, however, do get an advantage over us as they are having five subs. This may well give them the edge as the season progresses.

They get domestic advantage enough with less competitions (fixture totals)
and sympathetic league/broadcasters (fixture scheduling) .

On that basis any PL team who reaches a UEFA final is to be commended.
More so IMHO given the likelihood they will play at least one of their
domestic rivals in the KO stages is higher than for other leagues.

All those additional games. Playing meh in the PL half the time.
And yet Spurs are still thereabouts in the PL and Nemeis appears
to be holding off the god of injury < standards > .

Wouldn't you now start to whine if you manage the usual suspects ?? :)

Could have caught it from Spurs personnel (depends how
frequently our lot are tested - quite often methinks given the
    travel to away venues) .

0 to 12 in six days? I have a feeling that Ludogorets may have had a case of the Lazios.

I heard (needs to be confirmed by others of course) that Leicester actually have more injured defenders than Injury Hit Liverpool (TM). But you won't hear much about that from the pundits. If they win the league again, the comments will be along the lines of 'even better a win considering their injuries', if they don't win then the achievement of any other team's win will always be accompanied by 'well Liverpool had a lot of injuries that season'. We've had a lot of injuries in the past and the comments have always been 'well you should have had a bigger squad then'.

The first measure of the champions is their pts total.
The next is that total as part of a consecutive sequence for the club.

For example, Citeh for the 2018 + 19 seasons, the Poool for 2019 + 20.
Using Citeh as a reference pt, IMHO :

    1. tis highly unlikely that the Poool will finish with a pts total in the 90s
    2. do not be surprised if their pts total this season is in the 70s.

Whether they could win the league via #2 is debatable
(recent times suggest a pts total in the 80s is the minimum requisite) .
