    2-0.
The scoreline and the wins for Jose against Pep since he joined Tottenham. Love it!

    Happy Anniversary, Jose!

Second half was much better. There was 2 tackles that summed up the difference for me. Hjoberg's tackle on Sterling and Lo Celso's late on. Both high up the ptich, both very difficult ones too, and they showed how we stopped City's attacks being an inevitablity. I thought we defended set-pieces really well too, dropping deeper on wide freekicks and pushing higher on more central ones. Dias could've done better from a corner but that was all we gave them in that half.

What a player Kane is though, completely unplayable.

Here's a reminder of what I posted this morning. Spurs certainly exploited the space!

Superb performance, so much to admire in the way we played today, no question that best team won today. every player with a positive input in that match. Kane will rightly get the plaudits and he was superb, but Hojbjerg and Sissoko were immense, Toby and Dier inpeneterable and Reguillon so classy at LB even Serge did well.

We are top of the league COYS

Not often i post here but congrats on the win.

Jose's really toughened you up in these big matches which is basically what he does best.

Hojberg and Sissoko really giving you that steel in midfield and City really didn't look like scoring and ran out of ideas.

Race for the league is really hotting up and i'm glad you done over pep and his billions.

What a signing Hojbjerg's been, so far. £15m-odd? I'd still be happy if we'd have paid double or treble that, at the moment.

Impressed with most of our players they all did well but you also have to say that Walker was quite awesome for them.

Dier & Toby both great for us.

Best player in the league at the moment, not even a debate.

Hard to find too many playing better in Europe in fact.

Walker saved them from breaks so many times. So quick and strong, even if he does have brainfarts a little too often.

Excellent result and phenomenal 2nd half performance.

I’m not sure what our team identity and long term strategy is but it doesn’t matter really. Just try and win each game in whichever style is required depending on the opponent with the squad available.

    Back to punching.

I think it's good to be versatile.
If we can switch in Sissoko for the bigger games and play Lo Celso against teams that will play to contain us, then it gives us a lot of options.
We can't go toe-to-toe with everyone, so it's nice to see a plan there for both open and tight games.

think i'd prefer mane if i'm honest.

However, though that partnership with Son is probably the best duo (big small combo, speed and power) and he suits mourinhos style to the T. hold the ball up, hard working and the outball in the big matches. He's great as well when there's not space in behind as he can hold the defenders off.
