Doubt it'll make any difference as the 4k will be that spread about the ground it will pretty much be the same sound wise as it is now

It does seem a bit like selling pound notes for 90p, but it is cash coming in.

The last time it was a council decision because, shock horror, the case rate had leapt from six a week to double that. Now the rate is in the six hundreds I can't see it being allowed.

Travel from a higher tier to a lower wasn't allowed last time round so likely won't be this time either.

4000 or 50% of capacity whichever is the lower, so premier league clubs can have only 4000 in a stadium with over 50,000 capacity? or have i read it wrong?

Won’t be any away fans for some time I suspect. Members will come first on a ballot system from what I can gather with most clubs

agree with you to a certain extent especially going to places like Sunderland but think games at places such has Rochdale will be harder for the away team. Don't know what type of gates they get but can't see it been many more than 4000 so it will be a normal home game to them in a smaller stadium. Also I suppose when any team has played in front of no fans then a few thousand must help. We will have to see how long we are in tier 3.

What if our current success is down to playing in front of no fans?

When they do open it up, there could be a rush of people arranging weddings and funerals at football games so they can invite friends and family. Clubs should arrange Christmas and birthday Parties on match days. <ok>

That wouldn’t work because they would still count towards the capacity

    1. It was a joke.
    2. Counting to the capacity wouldn't preclude any of it, so it would work, but could upset regular fans. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Why let in fans who have already paid 30 quid or more and are been fobbed off with free streams that retail for a tenner and some product voucher point thing to buy things you're making a profit on.

Much better to do weddings and birthdays, charging a premium price for some cheap plonk and sandwiches.

I'm sure someone like Alan Sugar would see the benefits.
