Training is fine but, until you see a player in a game, you have no idea how they'll perform ...

... please lets not become RTG and dismiss people after one game.

Can i shout out Sanderson who looks a very, very good player.

    And a clean sheet.

    Let’s find some positives.

I’ll add we will also become only the 3rd worst team in PL history as Sheffield United are ****ed.

I'm 100% behind the new gaffer, it's been a tough few weeks for him, hopefully he can get his ideas across a bit more in the next few weeks.

What a time for a new gaffer to come in, should have been a busy spell give him a look at the team, then into the window.

It’s beyond the fixture pile up he just hasn’t had a chance to see what’s needed, double whammy for the lad.

I remember being lectured, last season, about how we should follow the Sheff Utd model ...

... yeah OK lads, where are you now?

I thought after 5 games we'd might have started to see some sort of pattern emerge of the type of football we'll be seeing with Johnson in charge. Whether that be long ball, short passing, a pressing game, down the channels, or whatever he wants us to do. So far I'm not seeing much difference to what it was under Parkinson, the Lincoln game apart, but that I think was more down to them attacking and opening up and leaving gaps which we exploited.
Obviously there's been mitigating circumstances such as having to play against Wimbledon with a few players missing and today's game with little preparation but overall, we've played Burton, Wigan, Wimbledon and Northampton, all at the bottom end, and we've only took 3 points out of 12.
I'm totally behind Johnson but he needs backing in January and if it means paying off a load of players to reduce the salary cap to bring better players in then it has to be done. We've too many who are playing too safe, always the easy ball backwards, those are not what we need, we need attacking, pacy players who can unlock defences and someone who knows how to finish regularly. This season is in danger of just fading out (if the EFL don't do it for us).

I agree, that referee should be struck off.

Agree today was very poor. But I think he will have learned a lot. I think over the next few weeks we will see big changes.
Defence looks pretty solid. Another clean sheet
Midfield is a work in progress more than anyone they need to get up to speed quickly with his way of playing. Could do with a bit more quality.
For me though the forward options are the problem. Wyke has scored a few but he is poor awful first touch and can’t hold the ball up. However the alternatives of Graham. O’Brien or Grigg are dreadful. A couple of quality signings could lift the whole squad But that forward line needs a complete overhaul

I think we've suffered more counter attacks in the last 5 matches than we have in the last 5 years preceding.

It was a bad performance but we’ve got to take in lack of training and COVID the last 2 weeks. None of us could perform a physical job after catching it.

The form of Power concerns me in the middle of the pitch (including under Parky) and I agree about the forwards; all pretty poor imo. With Mcgeady, Gooch, Maguire, Diamond and Embleton the supply should be there but the strikers are not good enough. He might play Benji when he is fit and he may do the business but I think he needs to get into the transfer market.

I don’t think I would read forums if I was a multi billionaire football club owner, nothing tells you more about how the fans feel than being at the match (I know it’s not possible atm) but that’s how I would gauge not what some troll has to say
