Yes, forgot to mention the buck's fizz first thing, then the Chilean merlot with dinner and now on the whisky.

Started with shreddies Lol, then a baileys coffee delicious, had roast beef Yorkshire puddings & all veg, was going to have turkey at my daughters but Tier 4 changed that, then sticky toffee pudding & custard, followed by bottles of Becks & bottles of Becks,

 

Bollocks!! I forgot the Bailey's coffee too, which we washed down our pud with.
No wonder I'm pissed!!

 

Hang on, I did mention the Bailey's coffee.

30 day dry aged bone in sirloin joint for festive Sunday roast.

I don’t want to share it.

 

For stay at home New Years Eve a selection of home prepared currys, including one on the bastard hot setting.

This year needs sending out with something fiery and definitive.

 

We're just eating ****e (hand food - pizza, sausage rolls, crisps etc!), and working my way through the Christmas beer selections.

Big day tomorrow up here, went to McCaskies Butchers dowm in Wemyss Bay this morning to pick up a full breakfast pack (bacon, sausages, black pudding, haggis, tattie scones and eggs) for the morning, and for the evening a big Steak Pie and Chicken Balmoral (chicken stuffed with haggis).

Steak pie is a big tradition up here for the 1st, and McCaskies are Scottish Champion pie makers - and have also been World Champions for their haggis, which is in the chicken - yum yum! A nice whiskey sauce for the chicken too

The BP has stabilised in the "normal" zone, but Mrs thinks they may need to up the dose a touch on the meds - when I started on them it dropped quite a bit, but it's crept up a bit since.

 

First night of new lockdown, back to a family winter favourite (think we're in for some big snow sometime this week).....haggis, tatties and neeps, with lashings of brown sauce - yummy!

Another Roasting Tin International effort tonight - chicken thighs, chorizo, corn on the cob roasted with ground coriander and chipotle chilli flakes, when it comes out of the oven it will be smothered with a black bean, goats cheese and lime zest and juice dressing plus freshly chopped coriander. 10 minutes or less to prepare and a hour to cook.

This book is ****ing great. Did you get it from Santa Steels?

 

In honour of us playing Luton I’m currently roasting two large rats in the oven.

Due to Sb's enthusing and other good reviews on amazon have also just ordered this Roasting Tin book....... Looking forward to finding out if it's as good as stated!

 

You won't be disappointed - some great, and really simple, recipes in there

 

I bought it for the missus (she's a much better cook than I am). This was the first dish we've tried and we very much enjoyed it - the goat's cheese and lime really bring it to life - but I thought the corn on the cob was a bit incongruous, so we may adapt it with some potato next time.

It's a boon for me as washer-upper too. The wife likes Jamie Oliver and he uses a mountain of pans

 

Sausages, sweet potato and red onion, a roasting tin favourite. Bit of extra chilli and some coriander to mix it up a touch - empty plates all round!
