Opportunity for what? I'd take the cup over any position in league bar first.

I would take 2nd, 3rd and 4th as well. Getting the opportunity to go to some of Europe's most famous stadia would be amazing. It's alright for you, you've been to the San Siro.

The effects of COVID on the old lungs might make it more than simply returning a negative result. Could take time to get his health back to 100%.

I’ve seen us come second. Nobody ever remembers that we came second. Everyone knows we won that old cup once.

I'd always take winning a competition over merely qualifying for one. Don't think top 4 is realistic anyway really.

Problem is that I’m not sure fans will be back to see the winners lift the FA Cup this year. Would be a massive disappointment if we were to finally win it again but in an empty stadium.

From a selfish point of view, if I was offered the cup in an empty Wembley or to qualify for Europe with the expectation that we can travel abroad again next season, I’d probably take that (for this year only).

    All hypothetical though!

Fans will be at the final even if it has to be delayed until after the Euro's. They won't have another final without fans.

Don't see it being delayed past the Euros. More likely get 500 fans from each club in an attendance of 10k.

So many injuries. But Ralph seems quite relaxed about it in the press conference. He seems comfortable with the remaining squad because he has had time to work with the new players in training.

On that basis I can see the bench made up of Forster, Long and some kids.

Starting 11 for me is McCarthy, KWP, Bednerak, Stephens, Bertrand, Diallo, JWP, Armstrong, Valery, Adams, Walcott (Valery supporting KWP on the right but with licence to get forward)

Back 7 picks itself for me but I’d like to see Diallo get some more game time and spare Oriel the full 90

Stuart and Valerie can share duties on the right. I like Valerie higher up the field and want to see more and him and KWP could be a good partnership

Theo on the left. Prefer him there to up front. I think he likes the free role and his runs from deep are good for us. He’s always on the turn when he gets the ball
Che and a mixture of Shane & N’Lundulu up front.

Good job we got Walcott signed in the summer. He's been a starter almost every game!

Southampton have not lost on the road since they were beaten at Crystal Palace on the opening day of the season. Saints don't change the way they play and press teams, and it works for them.

Leicester's form at home is nowhere near as impressive as it is away, but Jamie Vardy is fit, and I fancy the Foxes here.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0
